As interesting as this topic has gotten I think it's time that we just drop it and let bygones be bygones. We all have different opinions but the least we can do is try to respect each other's opinions, whether we agree with them or not. Lets take some time to cool off and come back in a better mood and just let what was said go.

I really hope Izzy enlightens herself to the idea that people are not all the same. I feel really bad for her being so ignorant (ignorant doesn't mean stupid, it means "not-knowing") about so many things. it shocks me that she actually assumes she is mature.

Alright, I'm about to grab the bull by the horns.

As I wrote to Nick, I have heard other foreigners trashing the USA because they hate/d living here. Nothing like their homelands, their countries being better, and so on. I'm sorry you don't like it here, for many reasons. But please don't be so rough and blunt to the point it offends Americans. Imagine if some foreigner living in Italy started talking or tought Italy was crap :o Not nice :(

For me, this is awkard since I actually like it here more than in my homeland, that much I cannot wait to be an US citizen (2 years! :dance:)

Sounds crazy to you, but my circumstances are different, as well as my reasons. Well, I'll admit New Mexico must be awful if I follow what my friend who studied at the University of Arizona for a year said about Tucson. She said it was hell, the people (rich and poor) were disgusting, etc.

I'm not saying you're wrong or need to change your mind about what you think of the U.S., just try not to pass as being too bitter of living here.

it astonishes me that on this site (and the world in general, really) people can't accept differing opinions. everything has to come down to some huge argument that either resorts to insults or killing people when really, all that's different is a matter of taste or personal opinion. can't people just accept that everyone thinks differently?

I love this community even if I'm quite tired about all these fights which are borning every single day, about the different way to see the same things. yeah people are not all the same and this is because everybody is free to say their opinions, not ofending the others. so can we write here with the same spirit present before? guys we are here because wr like Coldplay, we don't have anything else in common. so please calm down.. everybody.

She needs to open her mind. She said generalizations about ALL AMERICAN TEENS. I don't agree with her, but I don't say all foreigners hate America. She is stereotyping, I'm not. I'm making assumptions based on her words. she's making assumptions based on blind hate.

Everyone should agree to meet in the middle.
