I play around and write "lyrics" but I don't have the musical talent to put it to music. Two years ago my parents got me a guitar for Christmas and I played around with it, but didn't get serious about it. Actually holding down the strings hurt my hands (I have really skinny hands). So, I got discouraged. But I have this bug in me to be creative in this way. My brother (who can pick up anything and learn it... I've nicknamed him Radiohead), says it's best to start with a keyboard. Does anyone have any opinions on this? I want to learn, but I want it to be easy to learn. I played with a teacher but he make play The Beatles staff ( god they're so bored) so I quit and started to play Chopin, Beethoven and Mozart ( Don't do that.... It's very frustrating see that yu can´t play somenthing until you practise a 100 times) by myself.... that was very disapointing and frustrating at first, but then I improve my tecnic and take my own conclusions...... and Bingo! I could play almost everything. The IMPORTANT, without a teacher you can play better, you can create your own stuff ( at least I could) and ou don't have the pressure that he/she is a music teacher, with years teaching and all that........ you have to learn somenthing at the begginig... at least in my case everytime I was bored, angry, etc...... I play somenthing ( 1st with a clear Be. and Ch. Influ. ) but then you just find your own style..... For make this short, I recommend you to play the piano......... and please don't lose the "spirit", the love for the piano and music.... you'll start writing only shit............
