iPsy Posted February 1, 2009 Share Posted February 1, 2009 Coldplay could be gearing up to go their separate ways if frontman Chris Martin's latest comments are anything to go buy. Martin hinted the band - which consists of himself, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion - are about to split. During a radio interview he said, "Bands have a shelf life, you know, and we're getting towards the end of the shelf." When asked if he was paving the way for a solo album, Chris - who is married to actress Gwyneth Paltrow - initially replied, "yeah", then quickly added, "absolutely not". This isn't the first time Martin has hinted at a split. In a recent interview with a British tabloid, the the singer said he didn't want the band to end up as wrinkly rockers like The Rolling Stones. "I'm 31 now and I don't think that bands should keep going past 33," he said. "So, we're trying to pack in as much as possible. Up until the end of next year, we'll just go for it in every sense. "I don't believe in time off.
