Do you have parabolic? Can you watch the German channel ProSieben?

They show it live. :)

I get someone to record it for me. :nice:

Do you not have school/college/work tomorrow though? It'll start at like 4am our time! :P

Yeah, there's an 8 hour time difference between us and LA :)

ahh well as I sleep lets hoping coldplay do well!! hopefully someone will upload so videos...wat does everyone think of coldplay with jay-z doing viva la vida

You sure it's 8 hours later? On the Grammy site it says they are starting at 8pm ET.. And that's only GMT -5... So that means that the time difference is only 6 hours for me here in the Netherlands:D

There will be probably be an internet feed somewhere, you should download TVU player, they have some American channels, you'll probably be able to catch the Grammys on there.

The E Channel will be doing a "Live from the Red Carpet" thing. Not the same as watching the show, but it at least gives you the chance to mock what people are wearing :laugh3:

Really, us in the UK, dont get live satelite transmissions as such per se, as events happen, due mainly cos of the time differences!! For example, with the Grammys, they are starting at 8PM LA time, which will be 4AM our time, Monday morning, and alot of the channels here that are most likely to carry the event usually have either teleshopping or are closed down at that time so it has to be shown at a later time, so, hence, that is why ITV2 are showing it at 9PM on Monday!!!

By the way, the E! Entertainment Channel are showing the Grammys Live From The Red Carpet at 8AM on Monday so us here in the UK, may get to see Coldplay being interviewed before the event on the red carpet!!!!:D:D:D:D

That's the repeat - the live Red Carpet stuff is at 11pm tonight

The CBS Channel on TVU will be showing the Grammys live straight after the 60 Minutes programme!!!!

But I have scanned the EPG on Sky for the E! Channel for the whole of today and all they are showing is the BAFTAs Live From The Red Carpet!!!!:o:o:o

Oh I don't know, I was just working from the time difference between the UK and LA, which is 8 hours. 7 hours for you.

There's a 3 hour time difference between the East and West coast though, so I'm not sure how they can be showing at 8pm in both areas. Unless the Grammys actually start at 5.

Yeah, they start Bafta Red Carpet stuff at 5 and repeat it later in the evening, but the 11pm show is Grammys Red Carpet

I think they start at 5pm then.. I'm gonna go look for it everywhere..

http://www.grammy.com <-- that is odd.. It says the grammy's start in 4 hours and 43 minutes.. I'm so confused now..

If I'll find something useful, you'll hear it.. No worries:D I've got enough time to look everywhere for the right time of airing

Which would be 11am in LA

I dunno, I'm confused too. There must be loads of pre-show stuff.

The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 8, 2009.

Nominations were announced on December 3, 2008. For the sixth year in a row, the ceremony will be held in the Staples Center. The nominations were announced on a special concert airing on CBS on December 3rd, 2008, and were posted on the official website afterwards.

Where To Watch

It will be broadcast on CBS in the United States at 8PM EST.

.....................................................................................................................

I found this for now.. 8PM EST = GMT-5 ;)

Well maybe the awardshow itself starts at 8PM.. But The grammy's itself maybe at 11 am? Because they have so many catogories;)

Yeah, don't they announce all the other winners in a "pre-cast" or something?

(I believe they include the winners of Best Polka Album and Best Sleeve-notes)

Haha :p

Found this too: The Feb. 9, 2009, awards will once again be broadcast live on CBS, airing on a tape delay for West Coast viewers.

Does it mean that the airing on CBS will start 3 hours later? Bah.. Stupid
