What is drivers ed?

It is a class you take to learn how to drive a car.

Hey!!!

Well, I just took my last Praxis exam so I can get my teaching license. Boy, it was hard!! There were at least five students who did not finish the test. Plus, there were at least four students who were taking it over because they didn't pass it the first time. Agh!!!!!! I am praying that I passed the exam because I don't want to take it again, especially since the test costs $100 because that is my Coldplay money..

Lauren, you are taking driver's ed? Boy, I can tell you some funny stories about me when I took driver's ed. I'm amazed that I got my license. :laugh3:

Tracy I hope you did great! *crosses fingers*

yah, im doing driver's ed in a box. im 17 so i didnt want to be in the class and be like 2 or 3 years older than everyone else in the class!

@milica: driver's ed = driver's education. teaches you how to drive and what the road rules are, so you can get your license.

Lauren, don't drive into a ditch like I did. OK? :D

Thanks to both of you for the explanation. :)

well, chicago is actually pretty cool a lot of the time, the winters just last to long and there are no wawas :P:lol: all the history aspects of it are cool.. but i just can't stand being in the city too long. even though i live in a suburb, i'd still like to be where theres more land and fresh air.. like on a lake or something would be perfect.

how far is your closest wawa? you should take a walk! oh wait.. not if it'll bother your legs.. :(

i would walk with you if i didn't have to buy a plane ticket to get over there first :P:lol:

that's why i like where i live. a nice small town, lots of parks. barely ten minutes away from philly. an hour and a half away from the gorgeous jersey shore! :D like an hour and fifteen minutes to my grandmom's house in like northish jersey where there's a small beach too. an hour a half away from new york [where i'll be going on monday for a field trip!!:D]

hmmm, its not far. i've walked before. not more than 10 blocks I think...but i'm not really sure.

i would walk, but i don't wanna go alone and i have to leave at 6 at the latest anyway, and its 5:38. my legs would probably be ok for that, as long as i wore my sneakers with good arch support. i can't really wear flip flops anymore.

I'D LOVE FOR YOU TO WALK WITH ME TO WAWA!!!:D:D

There are a lot of people who can't drive. Not because they are not of the legal driving age, but because they simply can not drive. One would not have known that these people took a class because of the way they drive. They don't use turn signals, they drive like they are scared when its snows or rains, they go really slow like a turtle, they can't stay in their lane, they drive in ditches (ok, that happened to me but I was learning how to drive), and they speed like they gotta go to the restroom immediately (ok, I speed too, but not that badly, even though my three speeding tickets might suggest otherwise). Come to Ohio and you will see people who can not drive. :laugh3:

I'm pretty sure I could have my license by now, I just don't want it! I haven't even taken driver's ed or considered getting a permit or anything... Living in DC, I don't need to drive, and I don't feel comfortable behind the wheel, so why bother? Some of my friends who live more in the suburbs have their licenses, though :nice:

yah, tracy a lot of people in texas suck at driving too!

@zoo: same here, except i've just recently started driver's ed in a box. the reason i never tried before was because i was too scared/lazy to drive and i never got my permit.

but the thing is, here i DO need to drive. i wish i was somewhere like you in d.c. where you dont really need to. but here i need to be able to drive to school and just many places in general, because my parents have become very tired of having to drive me everywhere cuz it's become so inconvenient for them. but the problem is, i dont think i will even have a car even when i can get my license. :uhoh:

Hello everyone ! :)

or how?

and Perrine: you slept for 5 hours? dude, that's a fantastic night's sleep for me! i usually get like 3-4. except lately i've been tired from track, or my legs hurt a lot so i go to sleep. and its boring without my computer so i force myself to go to bed.

hey everyone! :D

Hm I take back what I said, you're unbeatable Marisa ;) But is it only because of Coldplaying ?

I don't know how you do to stay awake during the lessons :stunned:

Grr I'm 18, and I don't have my license ! :\
