September 6, 200916 yr Hey chicks, possibly a super dumb question, but when is the countdown counting down to on your computers? Because for me, the countdown goes to midnight EST - meaning midnight Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. But since none of the guys are based in EST, I think it is highly unlikely that whatever is going to happen will happen at midnight my time which is 5:00am GMT :laugh3: I suppose their techie guru has set up the countdown to be specific to each person's own time zone? So maybe if you are based in the UK it is counting down to midnight GMT Tuesday night? Or is your countdown counting down also to 5:00 am GMT on Wednesday? Sorry to be so dense, I am sure it makes sense but I just don't get it :P
September 6, 200916 yr ^ yep... it depends on your time zone (actually your computer's clock, if you change the hour, it will change the countdown ;)). I think that if "that thing" is going to happen right at midnight they would take the UK time, which means it would be tuesday in the afternoon for me.
September 6, 200916 yr Author Yeah the script will pick up your local computer time and use that to calculate the countdown. UK time is actually GMT+1 at the moment, british summer time and all that. I wondered if they will actually make changes at midnight UTC/GMT standard internet time, which is 1am for me. But a lot of the changes to the countdown have taken place at around 4/5pm for me, so maybe they'll do their big changes around that same sort of time again, idk :shrug: I guess there's a possibility that the countdown will read zero everything for some of us for a few hours at least. Plus on the last day, Tuesday we could either tweet them pictures of zero something, like a box with nothing in it maybe..? Or we just tweet them the infamous words - Tulta Munille hehe :D
