TraceOddity
I love them! Their Greatest Hits album was one of the first tapes I bought. (Yeah, I'm that old, lol) THey were a HUGE influence on my early guitar playing and I learned as much about singing harmony from them as I did from the church choirs I grew up in. Glad you made them a thread.

Tnspieler1012
Oh there are tons of obviously classic bands that don't get regular threads, I'm glad you made this though. I remember listening to a greatest hits C.D. of theirs when i was really tiny, first time I really remember enjoying music. My favorite is 'I Am A Rock', followed by The Sound Of Silence and Mrs. Robinson. I swear I can listen to that song 50 times straight without growing tired of it. Glad you made them a thread. Their Greatest Hits album is all kinds of perfect. I confess that up until sometime last week, I had only ever listened to Sounds of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, I Am a Rock, and Bridge Over Troubled Water, but my guitar teacher has recently been giving me lots of Simon & Garfunkel songs. So I dug out my mom's Greatest Hits album last night and listened to the whole thing in my room with all the lights off. It was incredible. 'I Am A Rock' is amazing; I first listened to it when I was really really young too, and it was probably the first song in all of music that I ever really appreciated as well. Right now I'm addicted to "The Boxer", though... it's almost as brilliant.

bjaiken
Haha...I never thought I would see a Simon & Garfunkel thread on Coldplaying. I do like them. Not a huge fan, but what I know, I like really well. Thier greatest hits suit me just fine.
