I am very tired. And I'm about to rant!

You know what annoys me? (you probably know a couple of things but sit tight, mkay?) Have you ever been in a situation where you work your ass off to get better at something, yet there's always this class of people above you in ability level who get by and succeed based mainly on genetic talent? You see this in athletics a lot. They're the kind of player/individual who are lazy, arrogant, and frequently downright nasty because they feel they can be thanks to their success in their particular field. While these people sit around being lazy, lower people (without any genetic talent, or who even might be naturally bad at the activity, but who still work to get better) continue working and working for a goal that seems impossible for them to achieve, yet already has been by the lazy people who have never worked a day in their lives but have natural talent. And you know what else bugs me? If those people could see how far just a little effort would get them, it would blow their minds.

Thanks for reading. I almost had a hernia a few days ago over this issue. Please discuss!

Or not. Whatever suits you.

I totally get your point and now I am on college I see that happenning every single day and the worst part is that those lazy ppl are always looking for your help and not doing anything at all and the get all the credit cuz of the work you did so hard.... So I decided I am gonna work by myself in my thesis, even if my bff wants me to work with her, cuz it's true she's my bff but she's lazy and in the end I'm gonna end up doing all the work myself so I better do it all myself from the start, doing stuff my way and I won't end up fighting with her cuz she doesn't work.

That's my rant:P

Just because people happen to be blessed with talents or beauty, it doesn't necessarily mean their lives will be any more fruitful or enjoyable.

You should always celebrate your individuality and uniqueness.;)

bye, Carla. Good luck on your thesis. I always found working alone on big projects is better -- others tend to sort of infringe on your creative method, yknow? Or maybe that's just me.

See ya Carla :hug::D

EDIT: ^no you're not alone I've had to work with lots of people who strongly dissagree with everything I say lately which completely sucks because MY ideas were clearly better :P-_-

going to finish some homework now. then bed. bye everyone! :D

Good Night Carla of the Salvadoran Republic!:) (and may the gods be with you!)

Umm.. on the 'people with genetic talent' business, I think that's not always true, because nobody knows what they may have had to overcome to achieve some level of comprehension. Basically, the best thing is to forget about them - just let them do their own things, and instead focus on improving your own ability, and sharing your talents with others! (it actually helps to tutor others, as you refresh and rethink what you have learned, all the while helping someone else grow in ability and gain knowledge.). I found that when I simply focused on self-improvement, a lot of the insecurities went away, and I scored much higher on tests (to the point where everone else in the class would give me angry glares for getting good grades, and upping the curve..:dozey:..) So, if you get too good Sarah, then all your class-mates will be accusing you of being one of the people who make it harder for them, and on and on the problem goes!:laugh3:

Very true indeed.;)

I had my birthday yesterday, for once. :laugh3: Got spoiled.

What do you mean, for once? Do you tend to forget it, then??

No, i only mentioned "for once" because it's once a year (fortunately).:)

Well that's a different matter entirely, then. So what did you do? Did you go binge drinking??

Last Sunday I went to an Indian restaurant with my family ; yesterday I had lunch with a friend and in the afternoon i saw another friend. I got some new clothes and I'm going to get others this afternoon.

Do you actually need some new clothes??

I don't but I like getting new clothes especially when I see nice ones.

Trading in my PSP console and games. Lost interest in gaming for some reason. Oh well, hopefully I get some €s. :)

^ Is that little symbol stand for euros, by chance?

Sorry, I'm just curious.
