Yeah. only you really acted like ANY politician, since all politicians are liars/cowards.

Way to defend your position. Yes, actually. Bobby Jindal is a man of honor who is going to reignite the Conservative base that has been so devastated by the cowardice and wavering of the Republican party. He will bring the Republican party back to its conservative roots.

No. It sounds like you copied-and-pasted that from a Bobby Jindal fansite. The Republican party never truly had conservative roots as a whole, and no politician is going to do anythin about anything.

Just because he says he will, and other people say he will, doesn't mean he will. Really. Get a little dose of anti-naivite. It'll help you out in your looming adult life; which presumably you will have to begin soon.

No I did not copy and paste that. And yes the Republican party was once conservative; no it's spending as much as the Democrats are. Looking at Jindal's stances and what he's done (yes, he has done things, unlike Obama) I feel that my hypothesis about Jindal as President is going to be correct.

Yes, I see what he's done. I've been paying attention the last few years.

Just because he has a 100% pro-life voting record doesn't mean as president, he would get anything done. And in honesty, do you seriously want a president who beleives in creationism as your president?

I really could care less what his personal beliefs are about evolution. I would rather have a far-right Conservative that believes in creationism than a an inexperienced socialist that believes in evolution. I think what this country needs is a huge dose of small government Conservatism, and I think Jindal is the man who could do this.

@Tnspieler1012: We're having a sophisticated political conversation. Join in if you want.

@John: Actually, personal beleifs about evolution are pretty important, in my opinion. If you're going to blindly follow a God that sure shows what kind of leader you are. And if you're going to seriously disbelieve in evolution that sure shows what kind of intelligence level you have.

I have to leave soon, but while you're on this tangent. America is never going to elect a nonchristian president, and with that comes the idea that God created the heavens and the earth. So in a sense every president has at least claimed to be a "creationist" That said there are different types of creationism and its foolish to believe that belief in God and evolution are incompatible.

Noonsun...I can debunk your argument in six words. Bobby Jindal is a Rhodes scholar.

HOLY FUCK HE GOT A GOLD STAR IN COLLEGE

You're completely right. He's totally worthy of running this country. Thanks for opening up my eyes.

edit @Tnsieler1012: Yes, but someone who openly says they beleive in creationism and that evolution is not scientifically worthy is a moron. In my opinion. So I don't have a lot of respect for Bobby Jindal.

No but you're calling him stupid. Do you know how hard it is to get a Rhodes scholarship to go to Oxford?!

I actually do think he's stupid. Not school-stupid, but his ignorance of science is laughable.

I don't think Obama is worthy of running the country. Obama is the most overrated peice of candyfloss this country has EVER SEEN. He obviously isn't going to get any more done in this country than any politician -- in fact, probably less.

Frankly I'm amazed that you would assume I'm an Obama supporter simply because I disaggree with you.

I'm not assuming you're an Obama supporter...I was just saying that Obama is president and asking why you think he can do it. I could care less if he is religious, and our biggest issues in this country right now are not creationism vs. evolution. They are the economy, national security, crime, illegal immigration, etc. Jindal would help us here. And I'm wondering, who exactly do you want to be President in 2012?

Jindal attended Brown University, graduating with honors in biology and public policy. Yeah...he definitely doesn't know science.

I didn't say I thought Obama could do it either.

I don't want anyone to be president in 2012. As I expressed earlier I do not favor any politicians, because frankly they're all the same. Small differences in opinion aren't going to change the fact that you're going to be a slave to taxes all your life, or that war is going to stop, or that we'll be a completely safe country, or that no gosh-darned dirty Mexicans will seep through the border. I'm apathetic.

But I sure as FUCK don't want it to be Bobby Jindal, Sarah Palin, or Hillary Clinton. Sorry. If I vote in that election it will only be for the lesser of the available evils in my mind; that's the way all elections are for most people.

EDIT: Further, you can be a biologist and a creationist. You can study evolution and not beleive in it. Similarly I could study theology and probably earn honors in that course if I truly wanted to; any fairly bright person can.

Amazing how a thread can go from the sinking of the Titanic to people arguing about Obama as president.

So it seems like you're an anarchist if you don't want anyone to be President. I think Jindal would lower taxes on everyone if he does stick to the conservative values. Electing a good President doesn't make this country a utopia; it just makes it better.

@Lalo: Funny how the world works!

@John: Oh wow, I really hope Jay is reading this. If you want some help on the nicer points of anarchy, PM Saffire. ;) If you think I'm an anarchist, ask him.

I don't really care if you consider Jindal to be a good president. However I just don't agree with his policies; I'd like lower taxes as much as the rest of the people in this country, and some parts of conservatism are a-ok with me. For example his antihomosexuality/pro-life voting record annoy me.

However I do admire him for at least "sticking up for his beliefs" ie the beliefs of his support base. Having a 100% voting record on anything just goes to show how stubborn some people are -- and stubborness can be a good quality in a president. Then again it could also be said president's downfall, so there you go.
