I understand that he's one of the fathers of communism. Communism was something that made sense on paper yet obviously did not in the real world. Just because he was an intellectual with a bad idea doesn't mean he's a scumbag. :thinking:

Here's my argument against sliced bread:

 

Sliced bread is easier for mold to grow on. The little gaps of slicedness allow for more surface area for mold to grow on. Furthermore, the slices in bread detract from the truly spiritual experience of slicing it yourself. The convenience of sliced bread only adds to society's rushing of life and adds to the fact that we as a people no longer stop to enjoy the good things in life such as eating homebaked bread and slicing it yourself.

 

See? You can come up with an argument against anything even if it's bullshit or terrible. That was my point.

Communism has never fully taken effect in any country but I personally believe it would not work.

Pay the person who works at mcdonalds the same amount as a college educated businessman. great idea marx.

Since everyone would technically "share" everything it wouldn't even be paying per se; with everyone having the same amount of wealth money would become utterly irrelevent.

They would still be given a certain amount of land to be on basically. and it wouldn't vary with job difficulty or anything like that. i would hate living in it, that's for sure.
