Ticket-Selling Question!

Featured Replies

So, I have section 103 tickets for my concert on 5/21, but I've just discovered that Live Nation still has pit tickets for sale. I desperately want to be in the pit, but my parents won't let me buy another ticket!

So, I was wondering, is there a way that I can sell my tickets, and guarantee that they'll sell for face value? Because my parents said that if I can get all the money back for the section 103 tickets, I can buy new ones in the pit... But I'm not allowed to buy new ones until the old ones sell. So... yeah. If anyone who has sold tickets before can explain the process to me, at least, that'd be super helpful! :D

they will sell for face value, i sold multiple pairs for face value because i kept on getting better seats.

Buy the pit tickets, sell your current ones

So is there a way to guarantee to my parents that they'll sell so that they'll let me buy the pit ones before the old ones sell?

And now I'm trying to decide if pit is better (I won't be able to get there too early to line up), or the first seated section, row D :wreck: That'll be right at the ramp, right?

edit: Also, what site should I use to sell them? Stubhub?

There is no guarantee on if you will sell them, i do not know the arena setup in your area. But in Vancouver they are really hot tickets going for 2x the face value. I received about 20 emails regarded the pairs i sold. They were located beside the stage and row 9.

It all depends on how hot the tickets are for Coldplay in your city, even thou they added a second show here, tickets are still selling.

If you cannot line up, then you wont get front row ;)

Craigslist is probably the best place to sell it because it is all cash and local.

Stubhub takes a certain percentage of the sale. I like local deals with cash :)

I wouldn't be able to line up before like 4PM :\

And I didn't realize that Stubhub takes some of the money, I guess I should try Craigslist!

^Good advice.

I sold a couple of my tickets from last tour on Stubhub. They sold really well. And they were to shows that werent all that popular (Detroit...still had a lot of tickets on sale at ticketmaster). I ended up making a small profit :O

Basically its just really easy to use stubhub in my opinion, and its a small amount they take out, so just price them a little more than face value to make up for it, but not too much more. In my opinion thats what you should do...

And I think you should get pit tickets, thats what I have! Im gonna line up early that day to get front row, but if you cant then the pit is still prolly better than most of the other seats you can get. Unless your short. Or need a seat.

PS: I am not sure if the first seated section would be right at the ramp. The ramps extend 12 rows, so IDK if the pit+ 4 rows would put you right at the ramp or not. I had row 12 seats in Chicago, and when they went onto the ramp to play the techno set I was fron row :D

15% of the total sale to be exact :)

Hmm, I suppose getting there 4 hours early would be better than nothing, right? There are going to be a lot of Coldplayers in the pit there, too :)

And yeah, Stubhub seems a bit easier & less sketchy than Craigslist

Well, let's see if I can convince my parents and the friend that's going with me... :uhoh:

heh, craigslist is the best. Just meet at a really public place like a mall and since you are female, take a big guy with you. :)

The guy is not gonna kill you, don't worry :P

But do take care of course ;)

Havent you ever met any Coldplay fans? They are so mean spirited! They will beat you up, take the tickets, your purse, money, shoes, EVERYTHING!

Im kidding of course... My comment had no purpose. Continue as you were.

Have you posted in the show thread? Always worth a shot. There may be someone on here who would buy your tickets.

Yup, I have :) I'm not too worried about it, at least not yet... I have 39 days to sell them!
