Passion Pit

Little Secrets is my favourite, closely followed by the Reeling and Sleepyhead. Wanted to see them at Big Day Out but the crowd was ENORMOUS so we gave up :P

Yeah, they EXPLODED in Australia. Musically, Not literally.

That left a rather strange picture in my head :freak:

why is that the first time I heard The Reeling it was as if I've heard something like it a long time ago :uhoh:

^ Déjà Vu? :P

I don't mind their songs. I actually really like Little Secret and To Kingdom Come, but damnit, the vocalist's vocals annoy me so much... :disappointed:

After a number of listens that exactly what I'm beginning to think... :\

I hear the new LP is supposed to be out Spring 2011!

:surprised:

:surprised: hope it's as good as the last one!

Passion Pit's new album Gossamer gets its official release this month on the 24th. The album however has leaked, I had a listen to the tracks on YouTube.

The album is pretty much on par with Manners in my opinion. At the moment, Carried Away is probably my favourite song from the new album. :)

I heard Take A Walk, and loved it straight away. Bought it, listened a few times, it's disappointing, clunky, and over-thought.

My favourite's still Sleepyhead. Remember hearing it New Year's Eve, a couple of years back. Special moment.

They're playing here in a couple days. Solid group, but not sure it's worth the $30 + gas.

All are invited to persuade/dissuade me.

I'll wait until the release to take a gander at it, methinks.

New song off Gossamer...I'm still forming an opinion, which is to say it hasn't won me on the first listen.

*not really much of news for those who have listened to the leak, of course*

Love the early days Kanye West vibe from Constant Conversations. It demonstrates just how well Passion Pit can veer from the bombastic I'll Be Alright to a slick R&B track like CC.

Also, my best wishes are with Passion Pit founder and song writer Michael Angelakos who is battling his mental health issues.

Seems like Gossamer is very favourable with Pitchfork http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/16844-gossamer/

This album is terrible.

Manners or Gossamer? Either way, you're entitled to your opinion but I'd say you're exaggerating.

I got into this band only a month ago and I haven't had a clue Michael Angelakos had such serious problems. :shocked2:

There are some songs that I like and some that I don't like at all. Pretty much like with most of the bands I listen to. But I'd never call either of the albums terrible. To each his own I guess

I was doing a parody of Take a Walk for school and I wanted the correct lyrics so I figured instead of going to some lyrics website I'd just get them straight from the band's website. So I typed in "www.passionpit.com".

Not the band's website. -.-
