hey everybody. last days of shool-life clint? is it high school or college? see, i'm very ignorant of the us educational system, though i do have one or the other cousin in your place.

you actually rawred, violet? i'd never do that ( :dozey: "yeah, and i'll never log in here anymore...":embarassed:) WELL, errrm, i'm so pathetic:D.

haha. Yes, I'm in college and I'm a Junio (third-year). In the US college life usually extends from about age 18 to about age 22. though of course people are older or younger sometimes. is it different where you are?

I know your not talking to me, but meh :P

in the UK from ages 4 to 11 your in primary school

12 to 16 is secondary school

17 to 18 is normally 6th form/college

19 to 22 is normally university

But you can get out after secondary school, so sixth form/ college/university is a mix bag of ages.

^^ I know. That's why I said it'd be the only time I actually do that. :p

^ In Europe, high school is called college, and college is called university.

I love hearing about how other cultures do things!

in germany it's very much like in great britain. clinto, are you happy with what you've achieved so far (exam-wise) and what are your plans after college?

  • Author

thanks for asking :)

Yes, I'm fairly happy with my exams so far. After college, I'm hoping to teach in a small school somewhere. I would like to help kids who really want to be good students and show them the joys that learning can bring.

wonderful! but don't you need some more qualifications/ uni degree?

  • Author

to correct my above post, I am almost done with my university degree. I forgot that Europeans call it "university" :)

uh, i see. which subjects will you teach and for what age-group?

  • Author

hopefully history, since that's my major. And I would kinda like to teach junior high or somewhere in that age group. Cuz after that they really learn to hate school!

I think the GB system is based on the German system ;)
