I want sympathy

Featured Replies

cuz my $25 pair of earphones are sloowwwllly dying :bigcry:

Does anybody have any tips for increasing their longevity? I think the little round part where the two seperate ear part things connect to the main cord thing is where the problem is. If I fiddle with them for long enough they'll start playing, but that's annoying.

AND it used to just be in the right one but now the left one's starting to do it too :bigcry: And they cost a lot of money for someone who's poor like me. So yes, tips are welcome.

my headphones do that, and i just tape the cord down in a certain position where you got it to start playing to keep it working.

buy better headphones. I buy iPod headphones. Sure they are $40-50, but the sound is superior, and if you take care of them they last at least 2 years.

I tried that but they keep wiggling free :bigcry:

edit@ Nick: yeah that's probably a better idea.... I want the kind that have the extra canalphone padding thingies for different sized ears, though, cuz one of my ears has a totally different sized earhole. Unless iPod ones COME with those. Not sure.

well i like heavy duty taped mine, so...... idk

Hmm. Someone in an earlier post had a good suggestion about taping them together. The only thing I can suggest is to not play you music that loud. I know that doesn't help with your current headphones, but with you next set a lower volume would help them last longer. Trying not to have the cords pulled and yanked would help too. If your like me and wrap your headphones around your iPod/mp3 player, don't wrap it around too tightly, etc.

^

iPod headphones are shit... and sympathy is what you get from me Sara, im sorry... i need new headphones too... you know why? Because iPod headphones are shit. I've only had my iPod for like 6 months.

Exactly. Great product, iPod... crappy headphones...

Their earphones fray a lot.

I can buy Sony ones for $20 here and they last long + superior sound. The only reason I'm using Apple ones is because I can't find my Sony pair :bigcry:

Totally agree, Ipod earphones are crap !

Anyway the only thing I can send you is sympathy :P

I don't blast my music basically ever. Although I do sort of yank on the cords too much probably.

I bought a pair of Sony earphones a long time ago and them seem to last a long time.

If you can afford them, get some wireless headphones
