Somebody please help me for I am retarded

Featured Replies

I just got my first official Apple iPod nano today (before I just used a very old crappy 1-gig mp3 player) and I would like somebody to help me by telling me how to put stuff that is not from iTunes on it. I am far to lazy to figure this out by myself so thank you very much.

you have to open a folder (with music from your pc) on itunes software, then it'll load on your ipod through the wire.

i felt the same a month ago when i got mine.. and that is the only way it works (as far as i know).

well you're not gonna be able to do that unless you download some third-party software. Otherwise you'll have to put the music in iTunes. Why do you wanna use other things? Do you have WMA music or something else that won't go into iTunes? And you are not an idiot Sara :)

to load/list the music on itunes (i don't know the one where you have coldplay music on your computer for instance, you don't know what a folder/file is? ) ... so it can load on your ipod when you put the wire. :uhoh:

i mean, you open itunes, click on archives, it will display an options menu.... click where says: add folder to your library.

then it will open a window where you can choose the folder of music you want to load on itunes. (select the one you want, it'll load on your itunes library)

then when you'll put the wire to connect your computer with your ipod, it'll load what you've loaded on itunes.

yeah, almost all my "nice" music is in .wma form -- it just sounds so much nicer.

Can you only do what Ari was saying for mp3s or something? That's lame. :\

no worries, i thought the same about the formats... it coverts wma files to mp3 ;)

(btw i've edited last post here and explained better what you have to do).

if you're using a PC, iTunes will convert the WMA music for you when you import it

Only if it's unprotected wma files.
