^Agreed!!!!!!!

Blackmail is good!!!

The only award I'll get is 'Most Weakest Person for Not Beng Able to Vote in the Fanfic Awards. Shame on You. I am Disappointed. I am Also Morgan Freeman' award.

But I think I want that award. Morgan Freeman is cool:awesome:

Bury My Lovely was amazing! Though I hope my prediction on the title's meaning is wrong...

Oh no.............:o

but the only way you could get it is by voting, which would therefore make you incapable of winning that award, because you would have voted... :surprised:

Ha ha...........Good one, Brooke.

^Brooke is right. No vote. No award. Not even if it's for not voting. When are the votes due anyways?

Doing research for my latest story, I found this.

Should we all be worried?:thinking::o

However, in October 2008, a man was charged, but later cleared, under the Obscene Publications Act for allegedly posting fictional written material to the Internet describing kidnap, rape and murder of pop group Girls Aloud.

^Uh-oh let's hope nothing gets charged against us...*scared*

Us being those who write rape/murder stories on Coldplay that is... *innocent*

Uuuhh... perhaps? :stunned: Well, maybe JUST you, Dianna :laugh3:

Anyways, I'm done my voting! I agree with Rachel, I about died making choices.

Vote, Hahna!! Seriously, those awards... so good:D

... okay, maybe I'm a LITTLE worried... :uhoh:

:uhoh:

but he was cleared, so that's good. :cheesy:

who wants to read/praise my english essay?

“Liberty Leading the People,” a Eugene Delacroix painting from 1830, is a brilliant example of a Romanticist work. Romanticism is generally classified by its use of color and subject to evoke deep emotions and a sort of revolutionary feeling. Delacroix's usage of both subject and color, along with lighting, is what constitutes this piece as Romanticist.

Subject is one of the most important things about this painting. While the revolutionaries are significant, their leader is even more so. That these men are being led by a woman during a time when women were not viewed as highly as men would seem a little odd at first, and maybe even absurd. Really, though, the woman is symbolic of liberty, hence the title of the painting. Liberty is holding onto the French flag, standing on top of a pile of dead bodies- presumably enemy soldiers- and all of the standing men are looking to her for guidance. With such a subject, Delacroix is giving a sense of togetherness, and a feeling of imminent change.

Color is also a crucial part. The color pallet that Delacroix has chosen is made of mostly warm colors. There is the obvious use of red, white, and blue on the French flag, but these colors are also spread throughout the painting. The clouds in the background are tinted blue and red. The bodies laying on the ground, as well as the revolutionaries, are clothed in mostly white fabrics, but there are some articles of clothing that are blue. Even Liberty herself is dressed in white. These colors are meant to symbolize justice, peace, and revolution, which go along very nicely with the Romantic ideals of emotion and passion.

It seems that most of the painting is rather dark as far as lighting goes. The ground and men around Liberty are visible, but in most cases just barely. Liberty, on the other hand, is lit with a big, white cloud in the sky behind her. This is to express hope and the idea that the revolutionaries' fight for freedom will be successful.

Emotion is a big part of Romanticist works, evoked by aspects such as subject, color, and lighting. Delacroix's “Liberty Leading the People” is a prime example of a Romanticist painting because it uses all three in order to awaken a passion in its viewers.

or critique it, that would be helpful. :P

the conclusion is horrible, i know. :cheesy:

OH, OH, OH!

dianna, i read The Body, which was great :wacky: and Pages and Chapters is great so far, too! :D

"Maybe we should send Mrs. Joiner to college."

For Brooke--

What was the general topic for the essay? Romanticism in art?

Random: The Body is the name of a Stephen King story! :wacky:

Another random thing: When are the votes due?

I'll try to vote... My family will be out of the house today (YAY!!!!!!!) so I might do it then:P

That's a little concerning about the Girls Aloud thing... I did Google it just then and the article I read about it makes it seem that what he wrote was really, really, really, incredibly, grossly obscence. I don't think we have anything to worry about.

Uhoh, is that what you have to do in high school? Oh, crap:uhoh:

I like it:cheesy:

I don't know what to really look for in an english essay, but I can kinda tell that you're supposed to be describing a painting, right?:uhoh: Or something along those lines

It's good:D

oh yes, that would be helpful, wouldn't it? :P

well, we were just supposed to pick a painting and "explain how it reflects a particular movement in art history." my essay's really not all that great, but i don't feel like editing it much. :P

votes are due monday. :cheesy:

@brooke, I think the essay is great. So much better than anyhting I could write! Though you have a few years of expirence on me... I kinda want to do that essay, so much better than having to write a speech. (But it was on Coldplay at least.)

^ You've got me curious here... Super fantastic story almost done!

Which one is it? Is it All You Ever Wanted? Or the House fanfic?

BOTHHH! :laugh3: When will the story be up Brooke?
