I almost put one of my original songs in my MixTape, but then I thought, nah, these people wanna hear good music.

I'm listening to mine now and I'm pretty sure I know who it is.

i have yet to send mine... :P

My person has no posts about music. Or maybe I didn't look hard enough.

So I'm kind of just doing this blindfolded.

I haven't sent mine yet either. My 'person' has an intimidating resume so I'm nervously double-checking and rearranging my tape.

Ok I guess I'm the first one to post a review..

TRACK 1. I like the begining but once the guy starts singing it all goes downhill for me.

TRACK 2. It's shit. The guys voice sounds the same as the song before and the song is just horrible. (I'm guessing this is Dave Matthews Band right? My dad loves them)

TRACK 3. It's okay, but the guy's voice is so average and boring. It just ruins the whole song for me. But on a good note, I sorta like 1:52-2:17.

TRACK 4.I like the guitar and violins, but agian the guy's voice is still pretty average. And when he yells it doesn't make it any better :P

TRACK 5. I know this one, OAR- Turn the Car around right? I don't like it at all, sorry :uhoh:

TRACK 6. I know this one too, "Hallelujah", it's not too bad. It's a cover right? Or not? I don't really know but it's still a little boring.

TRACK 7. Santana & Rob Thomas- Smooth, I used too love this song when I was younger, it's very nice and sexy :wacky:

TRACK 8. I feel like I've heard this before, but I can't remember. I like it though a little boring still but it's better than the others.

TRACK 9. *faceplam*

TRACK 10. What is this a Joe Satriani vs Coldplay remix or something? I like it better than the original though so kudos.

TRACK 11. Bah out of all of them I'd say this is the most boring. It takes forever to get to the end, but the ending is really nice, I really like the girl's voice in the backround :nice:

TRACK 12. I've been looking for the live "Life is for Living" version forever, I love the guitar at the end gah

It's pretty obvious Nick made this, I know my review is kinda harsh it just wasn't my thing and I already knew about half of the songs.

If anyone has me, don't worry or change it too much. As long as there's no Lady Gaga or Katy Perry, I'll probably like it. I'm very open-minded musically.

My goal in life is to make love to a woman while listening to that song.

Hahaha, yeah, good for you and your honesty! I think I would be too afraid :P  Now I'm getting nervous my match won't like the mix I made :uhoh:

Yea I kind of feel bad for whoever made Julie's lol.

Yup, it's from me. I understand why you didn't like 1 or 2, you really have to have that kinda taste in music or you'll hate it. I really like 3 but you're right his voice is kinda average. 4 is the song I'm currently named after, so watch it. :dozey:

8 was Run by Snow Patrol so you probably recognize it. 9 was fun! :D

10 was a VLV remix, no Satriani involved. :P Bit I like it better too as it has screamin guitar and actually sounds like a rock song.

11 is True by the Frames. you have to get used to it, if you read the lyrics as you listen it's really dark. and the ending is like the best song ending ever.

Glad you liked 12. :)

So the tracklist was:

1. Love And Memories (live) -O.A.R.

2. Shake Me Like A Monkey -Dave Matthews Band

3. Make It Out Alive -Peter Cincotti

4. Fitzcarraldo -The Frames

5. Shattered -O.A.R.

6. Hallelujah -Jeff Buckley

7. Smooth -Santana feat. Rob Thomas

8. Run -Snow Patrol

9. Chimpanzee Ridin A Segway - Various Artists :P

10. Viva la Vida (heavy rock remix) -Lord of the Jimmy

11. True -The Frames

12. Life Is For Living (Live 2003) -Coldplay

Lol shit, now I'm horrified of someone hating mine. :(

Last year's had a good response though.

Wow, the only songs I recognize there are Love and Memories, Smooth, Run, and Live is For Living. All of those are awesome so idk what her problem is.

I appreciate your honesty Julie. Most of these songs take a lot of listens to fully appreciate, I didn't like a lot of them that much at my first listen either. But it's all great music imo, and if you have similar tastes as me you'll like it as well. And everyone should download Track 9. ;)

I knew it was Nick after seeing OAR, Hallelujah, and the description of track four that seemed very 'frames-y'.

Well of those songs she appreciated them (except L&M). It was the others she didn't like so much. And that's fine, not everyone has the same taste in music.

But I can almost guarantee those Frames songs will grow on anyone if you listen to them a couple times. ;)

I figured anyone who paid attention to the lyrics of Fitzcarraldo could figure out it was me. :D
