In a response to the article that wants to see Brian Eno ditched (I would never do it. VLV was the first step forward in changing Coldplay's sound - it'd be the equivalent of sacking Fabio Capello from the England manager's job) I ask who then should produce? Personally I'd like to see Mark Stent. The man has worked with Muse, Radiohead, U2, Keane and many other big names. He also produced Oasis's record Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants, a sonic experiment that wasn't looked favourably on release but has seen a drastic change of opinion over the years.

Anyone who made Radioheads the bends & OK Computer. But it really depends on how involved the producer is. I would like one that would change there sound for the better and not just one who polishes their sound so that Mark Stent would be good, but I dont know anything about producers.

...Truthfully though, I has no idea. I'm not familiar with producers. :\ Hopefully someone great, though. But I do think Brian Eno has done a lot of good for Coldplay.

I could have worked with Eno, but to do his job? Hmm., it sounds a bit daunting. I think Coldplay would need someone as innovative and creative as Les Paul, and just as talented.
