First thing to realize this is sooo untrue: "Coldplay to Disappear After 2010"

 

Coldplay will never dissapear, I am sure after they stop making music they would still be well-known, they have left a mark in music history, and I am sure (kinda positive) Chris will keep on singing, probably doing some songs here and there with different artists. Hun, (again) they would never dissapear ;)

 

My guess is mid 2010 :D

I hope the one after that isn't called, "Coldplays Greatest HIts" :(

SUMMER OF 2010 IS TOO EARLY FOR A NEW ALBUM. Last time they had already released some of the track names over a year before the album was released. They also TOLD US that the album would probably arrive by Fall of 2007. When did it arrive? Summer of 2008.

I don't think it's too soon. Every band tracks about 15-20 songs every time they head into the studio, which are then narrowed down to 11-12 by the producer. I won't be surprised if Coldplay already have a lot material tracked and ready to be mixed.

Im hoping of a more arcade fire feel in the next album. I know they like them a lot and take inspiration from them.

But, to answer the question: December is really early for another album. My prediction is Winter of 2010, at the earliest. Maybe even Spring of 2011.

God, yes!!! Made my summer (and winter) and is now my favorite album ever.

 

I suspect something around Christmas (Christmas LP/EP anyone? Glasvegas sort of). As for the Viva follow up....late 2010 'til mid 2011.
