Shynola win big at UK Music Video Awards

Wednesday October 14, 2009

By Christopher Barrett

Animation production collective Shynola proved to be the big winners at last night’s UK Music Video Awards, collecting three awards for their video for Coldplay’s Strawberry Swing.

Shynola were awarded video of the year, best animation in a video and best rock video, while the ceremony at the Odeon West End cinema in Leicester Square, London, also saw veteran video director Kevin Godley present Martin De Thurah from Academy Films with the award for best director.

Other notable winners at the event, which was hosted by Adam Buxton, were Carole Burton-Fairbrother, who was given the outstanding achievement award while singer-songwriter Alison Goldfrapp took to the stage to hand Dawn Shadforth the icon award.

Coldplay nominated for 2009 UK Music Video Awards!!

Wonderful news!

And this time (unlike the Viva la Vida video) I'm sure that Coldplay is going to win some well deserved awards. :)

Can you vote for Coldplay for the UK Music Video Awards? In that case it would be nice with a link to ensure as many votes for Coldplay as possible.

Coldplay will definitely win in at least one category!!!!

They just have to, I mean, they really deserve it and I think that it could get interesting if they win with strawberry swing if the one, who tried to sue them, says anything even if they didn't really create the video.

and I love lit ii. :smug:

Edit:

I merged them earlier. My fault!

ah ok, thanks! :)
