Hi there iz! Ah I don't think this thread is only about Alexa, i didn't really get to know her but i liked her. It's because some really cool characters have left in the past weeks and this place is getting a bit boring and full of spam and some threads are not even worth reading. I think it's totally ok if someone decides to create a thread saying they miss their friends or they're sad cos they left.

Exactly. Lots of waves of people I really liked have left and I was always sad when it happened. And we all made threads to bellyache and be a bit blue about it.

 

This is the only place where people are really going to understand that- try bellyaching to your parents or a good friend some time. It usually ends up in threats to restrict internet access. They don't get it. It's just a board full of strangers to them.

To be honest, i have absolutely no idea why she left but i hope she comes back. As for others, i know some left because of some fighting and drama here and it really sucks and to be fair i kinda did the same but i'm sticking around just to be able to talk to some of my friends here.

Totally! I think i created some of those threads in the past and it's crazy but losing an internet friend is pretty much like losing friend irl cos you get to know that person and talk on a regular basis and even trust personal stuff in some cases ( like problems you may have irl and need someone to listen).

 

I'll be the first to admit that i care about some friends i made here the same way i care about my friends irl and i remember some years ago there was this huge earthquake where i live and i got some sms' and emails from some friends online ( who i haven't had the pleasure to meet irl yet) asking if i was ok. That meant a lot to me so of course i'm gonna feel blue if i lose contact with some of those friends but then again that's how i am haha.

But that's the point I'm trying to make. That was a perfectly legitimate discussion topic, and it should be possible to have different opinions on the subject without getting personally abusive or making false accusations, as some people were.;)

That's completely unnecessary, and is only going to result in a slanging match.

 

A lot of these problems have actually been caused by people gravitating towards a particular person who only seems intent on abusing people.
