Featured Replies

This is going to be one of the hardest things I've ever done!

I'm going to really think HARD about this! In fact I am going to make a list on Microsoft Word of a load of albums I have enjoyed from this decade and then narrow it down I think....

i'm officially handing over the banner making to the gloaming and space cadet if you guys are willing. you can collaborate on it if you like. thanks for your help! i'm pretty unadvanced with stuff like that
*nods* Will do. You can have my (mainly) undivided attention on Monday.

Do you (or anyone) have any ideas in mind for a look or style or even a theme colour?

The Gloaming- if you want to collaborate or brainstorm or whatever, pm me.

I've got a list of 120 at the moment, I expect that to grow as well! I will have to narrow it down to one hundred!

I've been doing this every year since like 2005...Usually I narrow it down to 20 for the each year though.

I need recommendations badly. Imagine that I haven;t listened to any music except this years.

Oh sorry, I misread that :P

But hell, you listen to basically everything I do.

Try some NZ music, it's quite good really!

Have crowded house released anything worthwhile this decade? What else is there? Liam Finn?

Sigur Ros (albums like Agaetis Byrjun, Takk, ( ) )

After some deep thinking and complicated reasoning and calculations, here is my top 20:

1 - Kid A (Radiohead)

2 - Absolution (Muse)

3 - A Rush of Blood to the Head (Coldplay)

4 - Origin of Symmetry (Muse)

5 - Stadium Arcadium (Red Hot Chili Peppers)

6 – Transatlanticism (Death Cab for Cutie)

7 - In Rainbows (Radiohead)

8 - Viva La Vida (Coldplay)

9 - The Resistance (Muse)

10 - Black Holes and Revelations (Muse)

11 - Sleep Through the Static (Jack Johnson)

12 - X & Y (Coldplay)

13 – Plans (Death Cab for Cutie)

14 - Give Up (The Postal Service)

15 - On and On (Jack Johnson)

16 - Parachutes (Coldplay)

17 - Sound of Silver (LCD Soundsystem)

18 - In Between Dreams (Jack Johnson)

19 - Narrow Stairs (Death Cab for Cutie)

20 - All That you can’t leave behind (U2)

You'll note there's a lack of Nickelback there... :P

and also, the reason why "amnesiac" and "Hail to the Thief" aren't there is that I don't have those albums. I only relatively recently got into radiohead, so haven't got around to getting those albums yet.
