It's a business account... I haven't connected a credit card, so the money will stay on Paypal until we need them. As I see it, I have to send a payment request to the people who wants to join the lottery and they will then pay through Paypal. Unfortunately, I think this means you have to be over 18. Maybe parents/siblings could help paying for those who are underaged?

 

Please join the group and PM me your adress (to identify yourself) and mailadress and I'll start mailing out payment requests on thursday evening, if you all agree with that? :)

One more thing.. What about the international fees? Are they the same for all countries?

From what I've learned, the fees are about 4% of the transaction. Which means it's 4p/transaction. I can probably vouch for those. We'll see how it looks when I send out the requests.

aren't fees an issue for the seller rather than the buyer? Have Coldplay said that 4% must be added to the final sale price?

I think there will be a small fee for transactions to the Paypal account I set up for the lottery, I don't think there will be one from the Ebay auction itself.

STEPS TO JOIN THE LOTTERY:

2. PM Cirkusprinsessa (Anna) your FULL NAME, ADDRESS and EMAIL. If you want to pay more than 10 pounds, state it in the PM. (more money = bigger chance of winning the auctions and more money to Kidscompany!)

3. Wait for payment request to be sent to you. These will start being sent out this Thursday (December 17th).

4. Spread the word and put the link to this group in your siggy if you join. More participants = more money!

 

It will cost 10 pounds (or more if you want to, see above) to participate.

When you pay, you get an entry for the lottery. If we win any of the auctions, you'll have a chance to get one of the items in the raffle.

Please note that you'll still have only one entry for the lottery if you decide to give more money. But more money will help the group a lot!

Welcome to the Coldplay End of Decade Sale. For the first 24 hours, we want you to be able to have a good look through the official auction catalogue, which contains details and pictures of all the lots which will be up for grabs.

Friday 18 December - All items related to Parachutes era

Saturday 19 December - All items related to A Rush Of Blood To The Head era

Monday 21 December - All items related to Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends era

 

All auctions will last for 10 days, with the final auction ending on 31 December 2009.

 

In addition, because we wanted to make sure that some of the items go to Coldplay fans with more modest funds, one copy of each signed lithograph in the auction will be made available as a first-come, first-served Buy It Now item, for £10 (plus shipping). These items will appear on the coldplaykidscoauction eBay page at random times throughout the duration of the auction.

 

Remember, all proceeds will go to Kids Company, an incredible charity that helps vulnerable children and young people in London.
