I expect the prices to be pretty high, so why don't we gather money together and buy an item (maybe we can vote which one). My idea was to create a paypal account, that a mod or an admin could take care of. I think that would solve the currency problem also...

If you want to go through with this idea, one suggestion would be to have people's "odds" increase with how much they donate. Then again, in order to put everyone at the same odds rate, it's probably better that everyone pays a "flat" contribution. So scratch that first idea. :P

We are talking about a ebay auctions here. Donald Trump could buy all of these if he wanted, that's unfair! If everybody pays the same amount there will be less problems, we should keep it as simple as possible in my opinion... The only thing i'm worried about is that we will fail winning the auction and we have to do something else with the money, what would that be? It will sure be to hard to give the money back and I really don't think anyone should make any profits out of this.

December 11, 200916 yr this idea might work, but think about it a ton people who on this mssesageborad who like coldplay, and there are ton of people who are fans all over the world who are di hard fans, and will try to get the stuff by bidding on theri own, and some could be a bit more wealthy tha others, tahs the hardest part, and already the orgianl coldplay aucion is ufair becase anyone in the uk could be wealthy and easly place a higset bid and possbly win, but still this idea is great for us on colplaying that are as welathy ,

But yeah, if we didn't win anything then what would happen to the money cos it wouldn't be that easy to give it back. Maybe if we didn't win anything then we could still draw it like a lottery and the winner would win the cash instead...just a suggestion.
