But what if we win anything - you need to give an address to send it to. What address do we give? That from the person who keeps the money? And who pays for the shipping costs then to send it to the winner of CPing? Or do we select a winner before the bidding ends?

We select a winner after the bidding ends.. right?

If there'll be any money left after the bidding, I think we'll pay the shipping costs with that?

If not, the winner will have to pay the shipping :)

Just my thoughts :)

I think those are problems we will take care of a little later in this process.

And btw, when the catalogue is out we're doing a poll about what we should buy...

I'm so excited about this :wacky:

I´m too!!!

me too :freak: I'm dying for that catalog! They should really reveal it now!

I am totally for this idea.

I'm excited.

But... you know what would be sad?

...Something I just thought of..

What if we all put money toward this, and even with the end amount of money we end up raising toward an item, some rich buyer outbids and we don't end up with anything...

I would be so sad!

Then we'll donate the money to kidscompany! :D

Then we try on a another item. I think we'll bid on several items...

My strategy when bidding on eBay is to bid in the last minute or maybe even last seconds. I never bid with more than an hour left of the auction :D

well yeah.

That's how I bid on ebay too.

But, i mean Someone can easily bid at the last second too and make their maximum bid higher than ours, then they would win the item.

No, I don't think anyone who's buying more tickets should have a better chance at winning! That's very unfair. It would destroy the entire idea. This idea was, in the beginning, all about that people with less money should have a chance to win!

I don't think it's necessarily unfair, but I understand what you're saying. I suggested that because it seemed that some people had mentioned having multiple entries in the drawing. I think if we were going to go with that idea, having a maximum # of tickets that could be purchased would be a good idea.

But, that being said, I wouldn't mind a system where everyone just had one entry, regardless of the amount they contribute. :)

Well I'm an optimist

That would be a good idea.

If people gave more money, the chance of winning the auctions would be bigger.. But I still think that it would be more fair if everyone had just one entry..

We should have polls about all these questions.. :p

drive up the bids and earn more money for kids Co.

Then move on to the next item! :D

That is very true.

Either way, whether we win or lose, the money is for a great cause.

I just really hope a coldplayer will get something from this auction!

:smug:

I hope a Coldplayer (or a team of Coldplayers) with the time needed to organise everything is agreed!

I could make a group for this, so we know how much money and coldplayers we will have.

Did everyone agree that we should give at least 10 pounds?

Well, let's check how many of us are able to help with the organizing! :nice: Time moves so fast, we can't be too prepared! I'm up for the task, but I can't do it on my own.
