Coldplay are 'tosh' says Public Image Ltd's John Lydon

Eddie, that's kind of taking it a bit too far don't you think?

I feel that X&Y is fucking brilliant.

Just listen to A Message, Swallowed In The Sea and Fix You for example and tell me if they're really soulless.

Unless you want every band to sound exactly like Radiohead..

Well, I've always hated X&Y, even when I did like Coldplay :P so I might sound a bit biased...

I think Chris puts a lot more emotion into songs live, I dunno, maybe the crowd uplifts him or something...

especially Fix You, which sounds a lot better on LRLRL then it does on X&Y. As for A Message and Swallowed In The Sea, as far as I can remember they weren't very good.

Maybe I should listen to X&Y again...

and no no no no to the last statement :D

Swallowed in the Sea and A Message start of rather unspectacularly, but both develop into something quite beautiful and satisfying.

LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE X&Y. If I had to save one cd from my album collection it would be that one! My favourite album ever. Where I can admit that AROBTTH and Viva are better albums, X&Y has a connection which I very much feel! I think a lot of it had to do with it being a birthday present on my 15th 4 years ago and starting of my severe addiction with this great band. I also remember listening to it a lot when I had severe pneumonia (and I mean severe), so in a way it helped me through that really horrible time.

Radiohead would have to be the mature raw milk cheese-> fucking awesome.

Coldplay = Mozzarella= very nice, but a bit arbitrary.

Ahh I see haha thanks for the clarification :D

I quite like mozzarella ;)

Well mozzarella is my favorite, (well... with the possible exception of herb-flavored havarti) so the comparison still really doesn't work for me. :P

I like the clash :D
 They are great, eh? :D

Don't blame John Lydon on drugs. It really isn't their fault.

That, I agree. But I think most of the good bands out there sounds better live anyway.

That is when we know whether they can really play or not.

And maybe X&Y is not your cup of tea. But yeah do it anyway

soulless?

ok, I respect everybody's tastes in music, but I have to disagree with that man! he's crazy!!
