"the "humourless" group perform live"

Is this guy serious  well he certainly has humor calling Coldplay humorless. Seriously that just totally cracked me up :laugh3:

well, he did have a go back in June last year, ironically around the time of Coldplay's VLVODAAHF release. Probably trying to latch on to a bit of publicity. Yusuf Islam did the same earlier this year when he was releasing his new material.

Talking about Yusuf Islam and John Lydon in the same post = worse than talking about Radiohead and Coldplay in the same post.

Fuck him! Just another bastard who doesn't know about real music. He probably spends all of his time listening to Lady GaGa. :dozey:

We don't care about your criticism of Coldplay my friend. Some of us on here recognise their talent.

I wouldn't take this article too seriously, guys. He's the frontman of a punk band. To them, being serious means not screaming "FUCK THE GOVERNMENT" after every song you play.

I used to listen to Coldplay. Back in the day. So once I recognized their talent, but since then I've dismissed it.

Radiohead and Coldplay are the greatest bands ever.

I've never even heard of this guy or 'The Sex Pistols' before, to be honest.

^:wtf:

They're the original British punks. The Sex Pistols, The Clash, and kicking it all off in New York The Ramones were the bands that really started it all.

Great as Radiohead are, (and yes, ok, Coldplay) it's kind of hard to say for sure that they're the best ever if you don't know your basic rock history.

I fucking love Punk.

He was right about Coldplay (DONT KILL MEEE)

But saying that about Radiohead is

Those who claimed that they don't know The Sex Pistols must be frickin' kidding me..

I fucking love Punk.

I'm sorry, you think Coldplay is humorless? And soulless? :shocked2::o:stunned::inquisitive:

Humorless - no. Soulless - yes.

Apart from Amsterdam...

the songs on VLV and X&Y are very very dull

:inquisitive: Are you from planet Earth?!!

Johnny has always bashed Coldplay and their fans... No changes in that :dozey: I suppose that all those years of drug use have fried his neurons

I've read the article and I'm not going to let it bother me.

That's one mans opinion and I don't respect him enough to take it seriously.

I love Coldplay and that's all that matters to me.

Eddie, that's kind of taking it a bit too far don't you think?

I feel that X&Y is fucking brilliant.

Just listen to A Message, Swallowed In The Sea and Fix You for example and tell me if they're really soulless.

Unless you want every band to sound exactly like Radiohead..

even though they're dull to you doesn't mean they're soulless, you don't have to like them but stating that there music is soulless is just not true. If there's no soul in there, we do all those people here and other fans sense it.

AMEN.

Music is personal and it means different things to different people. Insulting a band to justify your dislike is really unnecessary.

Why 'we'? You're not 'us':nice:

This ongoing comparison between Radiohead and Coldplay is very tiring. It's like stubbornly comparing a great, ripe raw milk cheese to a fresh Mozzarella or so.

Johnny seems to be in need of some attention.

He's never been very bright, imo.

I believe I would appreciate this comment more if I knew my cheeses :inquisitive::\

Don't blame John Lydon on drugs. It really isn't their fault.

I like the clash :D

Radiohead would have to be the mature raw milk cheese-> fucking awesome.

Coldplay = Mozzarella= very nice, but a bit arbitrary.
