So when these posts and our argument is quickly forgotten, and you post around the forum on any random topic, with your ridiculous username which co-incides with the avatar to give the impression youre an alias, other members will think "Hey I can take this guy seriously because hes posted on how he loves the band and he didnt make an account to tell me that my band sucks. I just don't understand why a person who does not like the band would go onto a board for the band just to...talk? I understand if a person is here to talk about tickets, concerts, new albums etc. and then wants to talk about something else for a change but to come onto a board like this just to argue with people, it really makes you look like a loner troll who just is looking for something to do.

 

This is why I can't take "Reilly" seriously with her "proper" username, who thinks she's all big bad and tough for randomly coming on a message board to make fun of Coldplay and their fans and then to talk about random things on the side.

I think the word you're looking for is community. As in people hang around because they get to know other people. Topical boards that stay topical get a bit stale before long.
