supposed to be that the groundhog rises from his hole. if he sees his shadow, 6 more weeks of winter. if he doesn't, an early spring. it's silly and pointless and has no real meaning but hey we're America. we're 12-0-1 in wars all time so we can have the right to celebrate stupid holidays.
