Swallowed Seaman
It took a little work, but I was able to figure it out (I think) just by watching his hands and playing by ear. I could make a tab, but it may take a bit of time. I'm pretty certain that what I'm playing is close to or exactly what he's doing, if I do say so myself :wink3:

Swallowed Seaman
Note: I only tabbed the individual parts, without much rhythmic clues or anything. I figure peole here know the song well enough to put the pieces together when they play it

Swallowed Seaman
Tuning: DADGBd and then down 1/2 step can you explain this part to me? i'm new to guitar.....thanks :) This actually works better in the opposite order...that is, tuning down from standard 1/2 step and then into DADGBd. The easiest way to do this would be to use an electronic guitar tuner that has standard chromatic tuning and has a button that can make it so it tunes to any # of flats or sharps. In this case, you would hit that button (flat) once, and then tune each string to that new tuning (from fat to skinny string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb eb). THEN you loosen the low E string (with tuner still set to one flat) until it says you're playing a Db with that string. It will now be one octave lower than the higher Db string. In other words, they should ring out together and sound good when played simultaneously. Then you do the same for the high E string, bringing it down to what the tuner says is a Db as well. Then you put the Capo on the second fret and you're good to go! Doing this the other way, without a tuner, requires some tricks and know-how, which I don't feel I can explain accurately just through text.
