Yep. I first came across Brooker (Unknowingly at the time) from the TV go home site, which hasn't been updated in years.

It's just a mock up of the television listings at the time. The earlier ones were better, I can see how they were running out of ideas.

I then saw the Nathan Barley series, haven't got around to seeing that E4 show he did about zombies invading the Big Brother house but it looks shit. I really enjoyed Screenwipe when it first came out (It's his best stuff), and then Gameswipe came out, Newswipe is completing the series and can be a bit tedious and over the top, but is always worth watching. Especially with guest features like Doug Stanhope.

One of my favourite clips from Screenwipe:

Doug Stanhope:

Newswipe isn't as good as Screenwipe, Doug Stanhope is hilarious on it though.

Have either of you read his Guardian stuff? He's published a lot of the TV criticism in book form, but a lot of his articles are just genuinely amazing to read.

Nathan Barley is undeniably genius. His E4 Zombie thing was pretty good, not as good as his other stuff, but it was really enjoyable, not quite as good a social statement as Dawn of the Dead, but it's more a modernised version of that really.

I've read his work in the Guardian and some of his games reviews. He has a great writing style.

"Nonetheless, Keith Vaz MP is probably standing on his roof screaming for a ban right now, confidently telling the world's press that Grand Theft Auto IV is a dedicated, ultra-realistic prostitute-murdering simulator aimed exclusively at easily corruptible three-year-olds.

He means well, possibly. But he's ignorant. The irony is that every time I read some dumb anti-gaming proclamation by Vaz and co, I get so angry I have to fire up GTA IV and shoot 29 pedestrians in the face just to vent the frustration they've caused. Thank God these games exist, or I would be taking it out on real people."

Hahaha
