^£62.00. :stunned:

that would be a couple of hundred bucks if switched to my currency.

I wish i could have gone to one of the local independent record shops in this area today, however they just don't exist in these parts (not since Sound Knowledge closed, I know there is The Music Room in Salisbury but that's more classic & jazz music)

I went to a couple of record stores today. The thing that sucks is it's hard to spend serious money on CDs. I bought 3 used CDs, which provides no money to the artist or label.

I don't know, as much as I want record stores to have success, I look at myself as a microcosim of the bigger problem. I think we are going to see a shift from independent record stores to independently produced albums. All the middle men will be cut out, including record labels and retails record stores. I'm just guessing on this one, but I don't see how the conventional model has any long term sustainability.

I went to 2 local stores here, but before i go there i called to ask if they got this editor´s Lp :disappointed: but it was only for uk and usa ...but well i bought 2 Lps half price so :) love this day!

It won;t be long before long before the record companies start moaning about 2nd hand sales as it gets them no money. In fact whats the difference between buying a cd 2nd hand or illegally downloading it?

Nothing, other than the person/company selling the 2nd hand CD still has it to sell

To the label, there really is no difference. Only thing you can do is stop putting CDs in stores that also sell 2nd hand music. Garth Brooks tried that 10 years ago. Otherwise, there is nothing you can do; it is a legal transaction.
