Doodz, I need a good file converter for Windows Movie Maker

Featured Replies

For some reason my youtube download thing changed from avi to quicktime, and it won't go to WMM like it used to.

I downloaded like 100 videos already, and I checked all around google and most of them are one by one, leave a watermark or that I have to buy.

I asked Y!A but they just gave me shit with watermarks.

So since I can trust you guys a little more than spambots in Y!A, then maybe you guys can help.

Than yer'

SUPER © is nice and free, although might confuse you with the settings at first

Aw gawd :wreck:

I like how you don't have to install it and stuff, but it's very confusing :wreck:

It is a bit, which is a pity.

The download page is here if you can't find it, scroll right down to where it says "Download SUPER © setup file". Their website is a bit tricky.

Oh, well I downloaded it.

Well, In select the output container I put AVI, since I want avi.

Which codec do I use for WMM?

Or better question, on first options of the box, which ones are best for WMM?

It actually is pretty good, Its fast and easy but confusing.

Nvm. I just tried the em' all.

I got it.

Thanks Cobalt :nice:

Looks like your problem was solved, but this might be helpful for others; If you want to be able to edit .mov/.qt-files in Windows, you can check out Windows Live Movie Maker (not the same as the standard Windows Movie Maker). You can see the supported file types here.

ANY VIDEO CONVERTER is awesome!

It doesn't support quicktime.

Are you talking about WLMM? After I got a new camera that records movies in .mov-format, I had to look for an alternative to WMM. And WLMM works for me. I haven't tried .qt-files, but it is supported according to the link. Looks like you need Windows Vista or newer, though.

XMedia Recode is a great program as well.

Easier layout than Super.

The site I linked to is in German but you can install the English language version. :)

SUPER used to be only a little bit complex, but now it's like crap is hidden everywhere and someone's been a bit high designing it. Two or three years ago it was alright, but as of last year it's been WTF?

For some reason, it does some Error thing now, so this program went to the crapper :P

Damn, there was me thinking a spammer had bumped this thread :(
