Anyone on here living in Ireland will surely agree with me that Ham Sandwich are one of the best hidden talents confided to within the country (Look up the song Ants, Keepsake and St. Christopher.)

Fight Like Apes are good, funny lyrics too (Look up the song Come On, Lets Talk About Our Feelings).

Black Robots but they've broken up due to some ignorant american band who had the same name minus the S and so the band broke up after the problem (Look up the song Stand).

Rubberbandits are good if you're into the hip hop/comedy thing (Look up the song Horse Outside.)

The Coronas (brilliant live, Look up the song Someone Else's Hands.)

Ryan Sherridan who's fairly new or at least he is to me. (Look up the song Jigsaw.)

The Ambience Affair, the supported Villagers back in December in Cork, thought they were quite good (Look up the song Devil In The Detail.)

They're my recommendations anyway, They're fairly good so enjoy them :)

Neil Hannon and Thomas Walsh aka The Duckworth Lewis Method! For anyone with an interest in cricket then you'll totally understand it. For those who don't well it'll sound like a whole load of jiggery pockery! Light hearted fun concept album on cricket. Yes, it CAN be done!

my bloody valentine are the best irish band

hmm too bad they're from northern ireland i guess they don't count

Lets not forget a new favourite of mine: CODES

Their album 'Trees Dream in Algebra' is most certainly worth a look..!

Seriously, Irish music is underrated. Some amazing stuff comes out of that country.

Snow Patrol

U2

The Divine Comedy

The Thrills

The Undertones

and more recently, I have discovered Kowalski....

Any more to recommend? Seems like the Irish can do no wrong.

The only reason I probably won't go is cos I don't know enough about them. But they always seem to be playing in Cork so I can go and see them next time their here

I'm just not sure if I like them enough to pay the money ...it's only like €20? haha.

Yeah, they'll be back at some point.
