I think you'll find the shops will all be closed for the match, and the cinema will only be showing the match on all the screens...............................

Hello Jade, Lily and Mark

Mark - do you have the beers ready to EITHER celebrate (if England wins) OR the opposite - funeral feast - if Germany wins.

ENGLAND vs. GERMANY will be a very intense match I think.

I must say that I am on Germany's side thinking that Germany overall has played better matches than England in the first 3 matches. Here I am thinking of England's worst match against Algeria which was absolutely awful.

In Germany against Serbia, only the result was awful - Podolski had an off-day and missed several chances incl. the penalty - if Podolski had not had such an off-day, Germany's ten players would have won the match against Serbia (or at least obtained a tie/draw).

Based on that I am for Germany, but I would not be surprised if England wins and - like Italy after bad matches in the first group matches - waking up and going very far (maybe even into the finals).

Mark - can you tell me why all these British teams - Northern Island, Wales and Scotland - are in the qualifications? Germany is one team and not Brandenburg, Hamburg, Nordrhein-Westphalen etc. And USA is one team and not Alabama, Main, Louisiana, Florida etc. Why this difference?

Hello Nancy. :nice:

Mark: Are you kidding me ? :shocked2:

I will be going for a run at 3 PM then:laugh3:

You will have the streets and parks all to yourself then.

No, because I don't like beer. I'll be celebrating with a big mug of tea, as always!:P

I agree, but they made up for it against Slovenia.

Let's hope so!:D

Wales and Northern Ireland are no different from the likes of Andorra, San Marino and Liechtenstein.

Scotland is on the same footing as England in that they are both countries.

Would I do that?

It's far too hot for that. You should wait until after the match, as I'm going to do !:D

Of course you would do that !

What did you do, Mark? Have tea anyway even though there was no English play and win to celebrate?

Are you alone home, Jade? Or are the boys playing video games and watching a movie?

Don't be sad Mark ! :nice:

I drank tea before, during and after, then threw the TV out of the window, then went for a run to try to clear my mind. I might be joking about one of those, though!:P

I'm alone with my irish friend. My cousin comes tomorrow in the morning and my irish friend leaves tuesday morning so I'm not alone but I feel like when I go to bed. :(

Don't be sad Mark ! :nice:

I'm actually more angry than sad, particularly after seeing Ashley Cole laughing as he stepped off the plane afterwards!

He should be ashamed of himself.:veryangry2:

Which team will you support now that England has been kicked out of the tournament - both by the German team, but also by the line-men and referee.

That referee and these line-men should be kicked out as well - for good! There I would have liked to have a smiley kicking someone (the referee) out!

It could have been an interesting match with the English equalizer approved because England seemed to be in control of the match then - much to my surprise, because just when Germany had made their second goal to 2:0, the German team seamed to lose control - result: a quickly first goal to England AND immediately after that a second - disallowed !! :veryangry2: - goal.

That is also why I supported Nicole's / Aniskywalker's remark that the referee destroyed the match.

Jade, do you know whether Lily is reading / writing?

No, Lily isn't reading or writing, she'll be here later I think ! :)

The way Germany ripped England to shreds in the second half, I still don't think it would have made a difference.:(

Anyway, I'll now be concentrating on Wimbledon for the next week.

What did you do today Mark ? :)
