I do believe in parnormal things that have happened. I think a lot of it though is BS, especially with those shows where they investigate a house and start taunting the ghosts.

I personally have had two experiences (or at least I'd count them).

The first one was I was doing some plastering work for my dad in my aunts apartment. I was by myself and had been working for a good hour or two and was listening to some music. All of a sudden it feels as though someone whispered into my ear a single word or sillable. Now people may think that I was just hearing things or it was the music but it wasn't because the whisper sound was so close that I could feel the noise vibration literally right up against my ear... needless to say it scared the hell out of me and I jumped back a few feet.

Another weird experience (not sure if I count this as paranormal but) I had recently was I was listening to some music on the loudspeakers from a stereo system. I could be mistaken but I swear that I heard someone say in the distance "turn it down" or "quiet" or something relating to the loudness of the music. Then about 2 seconds later I noticed that the volume to my music dramatically decreased. When I looked I found that my ipod's volume was down about 1/3 from the max and normally I have it at the max and remember leaving it at the max before it went down. I wasn't really scared afterwards, but found it really weird.

There lastly was another time I thought I had an experience but it turned out afterwards it wasn't. Basically I was jamming w/ one of my friends in his attic and I just picked up the guitar. All of a sudden I hear the sounds of this male church choir coming from out of the speaker. At first it was really soft and quiet but got quite loud. Needless to say we were both really freaked out by it. However a few weeks passed by and we jammed w/o it happening, but when it did happen again it was some country music or something. So clearly the guitar amp was picking up some interference.

The second one is pretty freaky :stunned:

When I was younger I was visiting my cousin's dad's house, who had recently died, A group of us were looking through some photo albums in his bedroom and then everyone else went downstairs, I continued to look through and as I flicked through I came across a large picture of him smiling, then the light started flickering uncontrollably and I felt extremely freaked out. For a long time I thought of this event as something supernatural, but now i know better and no longer do. It would be cool if ghosts existed though, I don't know why people are scared of that type of thing, if ghosts exist then you live forever, so whats to fear?

if ghosts existed I would actually be disappointed, I don't want to spend eternity as the same person, I can barely stand myself sometimes

or I think that Ghosts might just be spirits that haven't been able to pass on to the next life/afterlife/heaven/whatever it is. Or it could just be spirits that don't know/haven't come to terms w/ being dead.

we don't even know wether the soul exists or not, I think if the soul exists the possibility of ghosts existing is higher, and vice versa.

Footage taken from a 2008 investigation of a 3 story industrial facility. Footage contains the now infamous "Cowboy" or "Civil War Soldier" apparition as well as the "Haunted Door" segment. Full version of the "Haunted Door" clip available on youTube.

Not really anything to do with ghosts or scary stuff but this is the story I've been looking for to add to the thread:

Reincarnation, the story of a scottish child. Can the dead be reborn? According to a scottish child, its already happened:

Its tough, I would hate to be trapped alive forever but I also dont want to die. I think if somebody told me I would never die I would love it. The thought of my family and friends dying is something I cannot bare to contemplate.

Vampire definatly(except the gay Twilight ones), eternal youth and beauty, super strength, speed, agility, maybe being able to fly, hypnotize people and stuff, having to sleep all day and not being able to see in a mirror to do your make up or brush your hair would be 2 definate bad points though:laugh3:

that's true, I actually don't have much of a problem with me dying, but the thought of my loved ones dying always makes me cry. The thought that I will never see them again is scary

Yeh, I dont fear death itself, because ive already experienced it before I was born, it wasnt so bad, but I fear the fact that at some point i will definately die, Its good in a way because it sort of makes me care less about unimportant stuff in life...But im curious, as an atheist, how do you reconcile death? If I dwell on it too much I start to feel a bit hopeless.

I can't express how much I hate the pathetic excuses for vampires that the Twilight ones are, the ones from Interview with a Vampire+ the later books are good and crazy powerful some of them, I also like the ones from True Blood and even the ones from Angel were good apart from the whole face thing they did.

I quite like Elves too actually:)

I became an athiest when I was 17, before than I was a strong believer in God.

ever since I stopped believing I do sometimes feel as if life is pointless and hopeless, if I think about death to much I become depressed :(

The thing that makes me feel the most depressed is the knowledge that one day even the Universe itself will die. Literally everything will one day come to an end, when I think about that I get really sad, I mean what is the point of all of this when even the fucking Universe will die one day.
