Firefox keeps closing every third time I click a link. It's really annoying and I don't know what to do to fix it. I'm using google chrome for now.

 

It started happening right after I updated adblock plus, so maybe it has something to do with that... could it be a virus?

What version of the Fox are you using?

 

If your not using 3.6.12 than download it and install.

I'm not sure which version I'm using. :thinking: Is there a way I can find out?

 

The problem seems to have gone away now though.

if you're on Mac then you just click on Firefox in the toolbar then About Mozilla Firefox and on the window that pops up it should say what versions.

 

if you're on PC im not sure.....

Mine keeps opening new windows without my requesting it........................ :dozey:

^That could be you typing ctrl + N instead of Shift + N

Okay I had 3.6.11 so now I've updated, I'll see if this fixes the problem...

Try updating. I've discovered that that usually fixes the problem.

I updated and it's still doing it. :sad:

Because it has self esteem issues and knows it will never be as good as google chrome

 

 

Safari randomly closed a lot on me too

 

only with firefox it would at least restore the pages i was last on when it fubar'd. -_-

Mine was fixed as soon as I updated, so I don't know how to help :sad:

The best thing I can do about it is always have more than one tab open, cause then instead of closing the box pops up asking if I want firefox to save my tabs and I can press cancel. O____o

Mine would close automatically when I had tabs with no box popping up, so I guess you have a different thing going on than what I had.

Google Chrome takes user data and has awful privacy policies. I wouldn't go near it.

but I've got so used to it I don't like switching to something new :p
