December 8, 201015 yr Author Yeah, I love this band. :D Is there any news about when their next album will be out? apparently there's no news about new album. last news i found is the EP.
January 19, 201115 yr Author bad and good news from their fb: It's official. We are NOT playing Coachella. Sincere apologies to all the folks who were excited at that news. We'll actually be recording when it takes place. The good news is we're making real progress with writing the new album. The sooner we finish it, the sooner you'll hear it! Amos x
January 31, 201115 yr Author a bit album update: This week we're overdubbing a couple of barebone recordings we made last week with flugelhorn, mellophone, trumpet, violin and synths in ye olde home studio. There's a lot of experimentation and deleting of takes, but it's all in the name of progress. That's what we're telling ourselves anyway. a.
February 27, 201115 yr Author last two updates: So, only 15 days until we're in the studio. Two weeks of intense rehearsals left!! Tonight, Simon and I are going to watch Efterklang perform along with their film "An Island." Efterklang allowed fans around the world to host their own private or public screenings of their film, so if you're interested, click the link for more info. Ax An Island | A film by Vincent Moon featuring Efterklang posted today. Dayum. I was gonna go and see Yuck and Cults play Bush Hall, but tickets seemed to have vanished way sooner than I imagined. My solution for when this happens is to get online, watch footage of Yuck playing live and read some interviews with them to simulate 'gig banter.' I think I've achieved this with the help of dru...mmer Jonny's "Ten Things I Learnt On Tour" list. Great gig guys, great gig! A Ten Things I Learnt On Tour - Yuck ^ well that one isn't really and update about the album.
February 27, 201115 yr OK. Two weeks until they start recording. Add up time for actual recording, mixing, and packaging... How long do you think that'll take?
February 27, 201115 yr I love Fanfarlo! and oh my kjeriuoaw9oshugyiu they're working on a new album? Tjúú!
February 27, 201115 yr Author OK. Two weeks until they start recording. Add up time for actual recording, mixing, and packaging... How long do you think that'll take? For the whole, me being no expert i'd predict between 2 or 3 months? depend on their working schedule and the label plans i guess  I know bands that do a 5-tracks EP in a month or two, so i guess an LP takes around the double time. What do you think Violet?
May 29, 201115 yr Author album update via facebook The mixing of Album #2 is completed as of today. We are getting very excited for you guys to listen to it. posted yesterday
August 12, 201115 yr Author Today we are making a new music video. Watch your screens. I'm sure more will be said about over at Fanfarlo.com. posted with a picture, an hour ago on their fb. video :bomb:
August 13, 201115 yr Why does everyone say that? :freak: Honestly, they sound more like Beirut to me.
August 13, 201115 yr Arcade Fire isn't the first band I think of when I listen to them. They remind me more of Beirut :uhoh:
August 14, 201115 yr The singer sounds extremely similar to Win Butler, and the violins and percussion sound a lot like Arcade Fire. I don't see how they're like Beirut. Beirut's music is very Eastern European-sounding and has lots and lots of brass, which Fanfarlo really doesn't have.

Beirut's music is very Eastern European-sounding and has lots and lots of brass, which Fanfarlo really doesn't have. WTF, no he doesn't. I think of Zach Condon more than I do Win in terms of vocals. Win's vocals are more harsh-sounding. Fanfarlo has enough brass. Also, if you maybe take another listen to "The Walls are Coming Down" and "I'm a Pilot" (or any of the others in 3/4 time, really), you can detect that Fanfarlo and Beirut both have that similar sway about them.
