Any suggestions? I'm supposed to be taking care of myself but I haven't eaten anything healthy for months.

Please don't just suggest salads D: I'm in no way a vegetarian and I doubt I'd ever become one cos it's gonna be a torture for me not to eat meat.

I accept any suggestions btw! Also, cos I have to cook for myself most of the time.

And no, I don't believe in nutriologists.

And no, I'm not fat, just sick.

I'm probably the worst person to talk to about this. my lunch today was a v8 a piece of whole grain bread with a little bit of peanut butter on it.

Whole grains in general are good to have. White bread/simple carbs just quickly break down to simple sugar and are unhealthy.

Blueberries are the super fruit crammed full of antioxidants which helps prevent cancer even. Never used to eat fruit that much but since I started going to uni i've bought loads. Oranges are really good in helping with sickness. Wheat based cereals are always a big plus for health. Cook up some fish as well. Oh and brown not White bread!

What about chicken? I actually like it a lot more than red meat, and seafood? Not just fish.

Or any kind of vegetable that is actually tasty? Or ways to make them taste better D:

Quinoa is really good! If you google it you will get lots of recipes.

And as for veggies...you could make vegetable soup? Or make roasted vegetables. Just throw a bunch of stuff in a roasting pan and add spices or something and cook them (google it, I can't think of stuff of the top of my head :P)

Cut back on red meat as much as possible, or if you still want to eat it just eat it in small portions. If you like chicken but get bored of it, turkey is really good for you.

And eat more fruit too :)

I'm telling you, V8 is horrible but a quick way to get vegetables. Or v8 splash is a mix of vegetables and fruits.

Stirfries are great, as long as you don't use too much oil. You can use pretty much anything (meat, vegies like broccoli, carrot, spinach, capsicum) and even throw in some nuts. I love honey soy stirfries, and sometimes make them with just a bit of ginger, garlic and olive oil.

But generally, avoid processed foods and white rice/bread, and eat plenty of fresh fruit and veg.

Nuts are also a great source of unsaturated fats to snack on.

What is that recommendation?

Five kinds of veggies and three kinds of fruit everyday? Just put it all in a smoothie or something.

No wonder you look a bit skinny.

^That sounds delicious <3

It is, it's one of my favourite things to make :awesome:

I love smoothies! Never tried them with veggies though... :uhoh:

chicken caesar salad with croutons, go easy on the oil though

one of my favourite meals.

I get anorexic jokes all the time for how I eat at work.

The same here...

just ensure you incorporate at least two fruits and vegetables ( preferably green leafy) into your daily routine. You could even blend and juice them into a nice smoothie

try to avoid large amounts of carbonated drinks, cakes, candies and foods filled with sugar.

Eat more grilled and oven cooked meats instead of fried

that should do the trick

Oatmeal, flaxseed, blueberries & almonds has everything you need for breakfast!!!

what are your favourite veggies?http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6863.0

substitute fruit and nuts for candy or chocolatey snacks

for dinner fish is the best way to go :Dbut heres a good chicken sub recipe http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/chicken_parmesan_sub.html_0 :nice:

good luck!

It is good to eat vegetables and fruits, but I think it's also important to buy them from local producers (and trying to find out how they work), and organic whenever it is possible. Because I think it's as unhealthy to eat some fast food than fruits full of pesticides.

That sub looks amazing and damn tasty, I think I might cook that for lunch tomorrow.

I eat fast food rarely. If I said 1 time every 2 months it would still be too often. But yes, I should pay attention on the organic food. Any specific fruit?

Eat seeds :wacky:

Any suggestions?

sushi

I'd eat sushi most days of the week but a) Don't wanna spend that much money and b) If I prepared it myself it would taste like shit.
