I was just invited to see Cold Play in Las Vegas in a few weeks and I honestly don't know anything about this band. Can you guys please recommend some songs to start listening to and any info about the band I should know? Thanks guys.

You could either start listening to their albums chronologically or have a look at the timeline at coldplay.com, it contains lots of awesome little clips and handwritten notes from the band.

If you know their songs or not - I am verrrry sure you'll have a great time!

1. Soul Sister :Big Cold Play hit last year

 

2. 99 Problems.. Ok song, but careful of the potty mouth lyrics, Chris gets carried away.

 

3. Crossfires: Alittle something Chris did Solo a few months ago.

 

4. Christmas Headlights :a top 50 for sure, and a Vegas Favorite!!!

Thanks SueDeNimes, my friend had an extra ticket and invited me. I know I don't know much about Cold Play, but I want to be respectful and have some knowledge about the band. Was looking for a cliffs notes shortcut. My buddy is actually a member here so I hope he doesn't see this haha.

Yeah, first of all get their singles. Go through their singles list on Wikipedia / discography list on the official website (here). They're available online quite widely (actually, they're all here). From there, you can get their albums quite easily (iTunes, obviously, has them all, for instance). If you want some more rare songs, such as live-only tracks, we have them here too.

Well I know that JayZ had a contest and the grand winner got plane tickets and hotel and tickets to the private gig, but on the origional thread "Coldplay Live"
