I know it's way too soon... but I thought we could organize an LP5 listening party once it is released with some program and stuff... for folks in central Europe (or even further if you are willing to travel). It could possibly be in Vienna, Brno, Prague or Bratislava... that would depend on your choice...

 

The thing is, how many of you would possibly be interested?

heh... the original idea was... as there are meet-ups in London and that may be too far away for some people in Europe, that we could organize a meet-up here... but first we need enough people who could possibly come, in order to just start developing this idea...

i guess why main meet-ups have been done in London is because the band is based there, thought seeing that new album may have something to do with a central european movement is not bad idea to try to organize one there, thought Viva La Vida have/had latin-spanish reference and as far as i know no main meet-ups have been organized in spanish speaking countries.

 

about the too far location is relative since board have people from many far countries as australia and yet some of them attended London meet-up last year, any location that will be choosen will be far for some people, unless we try to organize something like the Live 8, where the event happened in different cities simultaneusly, thought that's harder to organize i guess.

 

just remembering some french poster that wanted to organize some kind of flashmob well with music in Paris, may we can try to do so in the countries where coldplayers are for when the album be released, same day. :anxious:

 

just giving ideas though, as for instance if that last idea be done i doubt i'll move to Madrid/Barcelona to do so since those cities are far from mine and spanish comunity here is pretty quiet :| althought they have a spanish board off here, thought if is organized with time ahead i could do take part on it.

another idea could be to organize a meet-up in the continents, as one in central europe for april, one in australia for may (random places and months), so people that can't attend one can attend the other one, dunno i'm just giving ideas that are coming up, thought all that will be harder to coordinate.

We had meet ups in Barcelona without relaising it. I found out after the gig a fair few people had posted on coldplaying. but no one suggested a meet we just met randomly for vairous reasons... i.e ticket exchanges... drugs being sold etc ! We are naughty in spain
