I only have my ear pierced. It doesn't bother me if people have tattoos or piercings as long as they aren't excessive. I don't like tattoo sleeves or anything.

 

My friend has her ear gauged (that's what it's called when they stretch it out) as well as a nose piercing, but it's one of the bull-type ones. It's really small though, and I think it actually looks pretty good on her.

 

I'm not a fan of nose piercings, as you have to shove your finger up your nose every time you take it out. :|

Can I ask what is the current tattoo you have now or is it too personal ??

I have a scorpion tattooed beside my shoulder blade to signify my starsign, strange you might think given I'm arachnophobic.

My father is like that, he says they look really unprofessional, same with piercings (except the ears, of course)

 

 

I'm not a big fan of piercings. I really don't like men with their ears pierced.

And for tattoos only if they are very small. I would never get one though.

 

In Barbados people judge you if you are a professional with lots of piercings and tattoos. In most cases you're likely not to be hired if your tattoo is excessive or you have a lot of piercings.

 

Most places will not allow you to have your nose pierced unless it was so discreet that it could not really be noticed so I can totally understand where your father is coming from.

 

 

My sister who is a nurse has to make sure most of her earrings are removed before she goes to work in her unifom. Her tattoos however are basically hidden and if they weren't she'd have to find ways to cover them as her superiors would constantly attack her for it.

 

Personally I do not find piercings and tattoo's in general to be unprofessional but if they are too many or showing all over then yes that might be a bit much.

I have no problem with kids ears being pierced . My sisters and I all had our ears pierced when we were 3 months old. I think that the body heals quite faster when youre younger and it minimises scarring. My sister pierced her ears again when she was older and it has a small scar.

Apparently the younger you are the less it hurts to get your ears pierced. . . my cousin got her ears pierced when she was about 6 months old because my aunt was tired of hearing "Oh! What a cute little boy!" :lol:
