U2 has been an influence though.... I don't see it in Politik though. People tend to say Lovers in Japan and Strawberry Swing are kind of U2esque.

 

And on Radiohead, I know it's a tenuous connection, but some of the songs on Parachutes do have the same kind of vibe as in OK Computer. IMO.
