would u wear a t-shirt to a wedding?

Featured Replies

I fell for it. Damn.

No,,I would use the wedding as an opportunity to be pretty in a dress.

I wanted to ressurect this thread without the spam, because on our wedding day a neighbour who was invited to the evening reception turned up in white trainers, jeans, t-shirt and an orange jacket. He got a few looks for the 4 hours he was there. Rather weird amongst the dinner jackets

he is no longer a neighbour.

Wow. :|

That's disrespectful.

Were you friends, or just neighbors?

I think I wouldn't mind someone showing up in a t-shirt on my wedding

it's the person's business and not mine...I wouldn't be the one people would give a weird look

well, I am talking about my wedding though (how I imagine it haha)...I wouldn't want to have one of these "perfect" (might be the wrong term) weddings anyway

I think I wouldn't mind someone showing up in a t-shirt on my wedding

Really? I would. :anxious:

both, he moved away shortly after without saying anything :laugh3:
Really? I would. :anxious:

Because you think it is disrespectful?

Well, like I said before....it depends on the wedding

I am not saying that I am the one to wear inappropriate clothes for a wedding I was invited to...but I imagine I wouldn't bother too much about someone showing up in a t-shirt on my own wedding. I don't know, but I am not the one to tell others what to wear...and if they want to wear a t-shirt for a wedding then they should....I wouldn't feel less respected by them or anything....

on the other hand it depends on the person of course....if I knew that the person only wants to provoke me our my husband or whoever then it is lame...but if it is just the person's character then I wouldn't actually mind....

well, I wouldn't make a big deal of it....

I reckon we are talking about usual weddings here...then it might be a matter of disrespect

Is that just before or after you laid the concrete patio??

I don't remember him just the stripping permatan copper girl in the bright orange dress!

What happened to her? :inquisitive:

does this make sense?

I get what you mean. I just feel like it's my special day and I would prefer if everyone was dressed nicely (I'm a bit conceited like that). I don't really know how to say how I feel, but basically I think that if they did that it sends the message that they didn't care enough to dress nicely for my wedding.

But I agree, I would just ignore it and get on with it, I wouldn't make a big deal about it or anything. :P

Is it bad that I want my wedding to be all funny themed and not traditional and actually wear a cool dress rather than an expensive, cheesy, cliche dress?

no, it is not bad. you go girl.

I do get your point and I understand that many people feel that way....and you are right when you say you would prefer it if everyone was dressed nicely....I am not saying I wouldn't.

I still think it depends on the person....if it was some stupid bitch for example who only wants to provoke me then I would mind it most definitely. ( I don't know why I would invite her to my wedding though hahahah)

and it depends on when they are showing up haha....if it was for dinner or for the real party....(*usual wedding image*)

I better stop thinking about this now....because I don't want to have one of these typical weddings, but on the other hand I don't exactly know what it should be like...and I don't even know right now how I will feel about this stuff when I am getting married (though I am not the person to mind this stuff too much in general)....but from this point where it seems faaar away I can be quite easy going about it....

I don't remember if anyone was wearing a t-shirt, but some people were definitely dressed more casually than others.

I did wear a T-shirt at a wedding but it wasn't plain colored something decorated with lot of stuff and shit so I didn't look "wrong"!

^ Yeah. I understand that it can be for some people though. My sister is going to get married this summer and she definitely thinks it's gonna be the best day of her life.

I only wanna get married so I can have the honey moon that follows. :wacky:

It was a happy day for me because I no longer had to put up with all of the stress involved with planning and preparation for the day.

Is it bad that when I lived with this one girl and one of her aunts got married, their ceremony in the church took so long that i fell asleep sitting in one of the peus?

Or that my sneeze echoed very loudly throught the whole church during the vow exchange?

Her younger cousins started to like me after that but her mother never forgave me.

At least I wore a dress.

I would go naked to a wedding.
