Lyrics

"Maybe I'm in the black/ Maybe I'm on my knees/ Maybe I'm in the gap/ Between the two trapezes."

Can anyone take the audio from this video and reverse it so we can hear what it sounds like reversed?

Reversal

Pleeeeease! :)

they should release a song tomorrow or Tuesday - there's no point on giving so many clues!

Well that's interesting! hahaha. Thanks!

Agreed, the strings sound so lovely. Welcome!

Here's what I think: if all these clues we've received are lyrics, as I think they are, these new verses seem to have nothing in common with the others in their structure... So, unless they belong to another song - it'd be a nonsense - they must be the last ones of the song! And if they are, it means they could definitely release the single tomorrow! :wideeyed:

I'd say they are quite similar to the "Maybe the street's alight/ Maybe the trees are gone" part. They belong... It's just a matter of discerning where they belong in the song and how they are being sung! We'll know soon enough. :)

^. Look on the other thread

Seems to be a full song..

Yeah, we'll see :) As what is being said in the other thread, the lyrics are probably in the wrong order... And Trapezes may be the title!

I'm not completely convinced that the title will be "Trapezes", as a number of Coldplay songs have a central word or subject, but the title is something else. "X&Y" and "Amsterdam", for example. As for the lyrical order, we shall see what happens! I'm not a fan of putting the given lyrics into any order and saying "this is how it just might be", because I like to think Coldplay has a different idea for this song then the typical song formula. But, we'll see what happens very soon. :)

And sometimes Coldplay songs don't even have the title in the song!

Which is essentially what I just said, though it was not clear. :) ^

Oh sorry about that. And you were very clear!:D

Haha well thank you! Glad you think so. Man, I'm just ready for this song. It's been a long time coming. . . Such a long, long time. . .

I reported what the others think, but... Trapezes as a title doesn't convince me as well, although how can we know? I also haven't tried and won't try to give my personal order to it for the same reason you said... We've got to wait... I hope not too much :P

Exactly. We can't know! Just like we can't know the order of the lyrics. We will just have to wait. :) I'd say another day or two...

I'm glad you caught my Gravity reference there. ;) :D

Reference

You and the references :laugh3:

:D :laugh3: Haha I'm just finding all these opportunities to use them!!! This one was actually an accident from which I realized I could make another reference! Hahaha. At least they aren't going without notice! :)
