When do you think LP5 will come out?

If you look at my post just before yours, I essentially say the same thing. Give it a look. But I definitely agree. We need to stop arguing about opinion and just get back on topic.

Oh believe me I read it. Completely agree 100%! Coldplay need to keep moving forward with their sound, not going back to their old sound.

Thanks! Glad you and I (and Mr. Campbell) are on the same page here! It would be like many rock/soft rock bands out there today who stick to the same formula for 10 or 20 years and never change their sound... It would just get old and boring! I mean, look at the Eagles... Their most recent album, "Long Road Out of Eden", was a very nice album, but many of the songs on it sounded like they had been borrowed from some of their earlier hits. Why? Because they stick to the same formula. I don't want to hear the first two Coldplay albums over and over again. I want inspiration and freshness. So, I'm happy to see they are doing what they are with this album. It's a comfort to me, as I'm sure it is to you!

Oh yes definitely! It gets old after awhile. You want a new sound, a new song to sing. That is why I can not wait for this album. I have a feeling it is going to be above our expectations. Yeah, it will be a little different, and some people will hate that, of course  but I am sure I will come to love it! Are you going to see the Glastonbury 2011 movie next month?

You're spot on with that one! I'm sure I will love it, though. From the snippet of what we've heard with the most recent video, I'm already liking it! hahaha. I will definitely see the Glastonbury movie if I am able to! Will you??

I know. I think that quiet ambient noise in the new video we received today is the intro to the new single. And I am definitely going. I might buy my tickets tomorrow (well today now). :laugh3: I am so pumped :D

The intro seems to hold a very upbeat tempo beneath the soft hum of the synths, especially noticeable towards the end of the clip. I think it's going to build up into something absolutely mind-blowing!!! Oh goodness I can't wait to hear it... Tomorrow, maybe? I wonder what news we'll get today? And awesome! I will have to look up the tickets and see if my theaters are playing it!

Who said otherwise? Certainly they should keep moving forward, but it doesn't mean they should lack emotions. And of course each band has its own ups and downs. I hope the latter was passed with VLV.

haha :laugh3:

oh a hater :o

go to another forum,or to the other side of the forum

I have a real problem with this post >.<

Telling someone to "go to another forum" because you don't agree with their views?

:bomb:

Typically theres a 3 month gap in between announcing and releasing an album so it'll be late Aug at the earliest, any earlier I'd be very surprised! :o

Certainly, I'm just saying that we really have no control over what Coldplay do with their sound. All we can do is enjoy the music. :)

:-D

If you see at the all other release they hav had, i think they will stay with releasing it within june/july. i cant wait for it! The new album will be brilliant!:smug:

To be fair I think there was a 'lost in translation' moment from both posts.

Ready for today news???? It should be the FINAL clue!!!!

Hope so!! It was very strange for them to put a video up on a Saturday, so hopefully we get something today

Even if there was, my point still stands

but it's okay, I may have been too quick to snap :wacky:

I can't work out whether they're giving these clues because LP5 will be out soon, or if they're just trying to keep us entertained :dizzy:

I can see Chris reading this thread and laughing at all of us who are going insane. :laugh3:

I dreamed about them posting the name of all the songs of the album on coldplay.com so let's wait and see

Yep, but it's not *typical* release.

They are going to show Glastonbury gig in IMAX, it could only mean presentation of a new album in such extraordinary way. Perhaps even in 3D. That's why Guy said Glasty is still a headache for them. If they would really play new album, it could mean sooner release. Maybe in July-August. Besides in digital format they could release it ahead of cd/vynil.
