So, I love Ricky and I thought the Globes would have been a bomb if he hadn't of hosted!!! He said things other people wish they had the balls to say. People are also ragging on Robert Downey Jr. for his comment on stage to Ricky, but they are friends and it was "Tongue in cheek" type jab to him. Did anyone watch, and what do you think?? Ricky has said today "I'm not doing the Globes again"

Ricky Gervais isn't funny and neither were any of his jokes, being totally distasteful and having 'the balls' to say things that most people wouldn't lower themselves to say doesn't automatically make any of his jokes the least bit funny.

 

If you actually take a step back all he did was poorly roast big celebrities, the comedic value was shit.

ALTHO, he did create The Office, so I mean I can't say he isn't funny. Or wait, maybe just himself trying to be funny isn't the best thing..

And if he said he doesn't want to do the GG again, I guess he wasn't having a good time and that might be the reason his jokes were a little off.

Ricky Gervais is hilarious. If a multi-million dollar star can't take a rib, they need to leave the business and seek therapy. He's the only reason I flipped back and forth between the Jets/Pats game.

he was brilliant and the only reason i watched the Globes. without him it would've been your usual back patting hollywood wank fest. yes most of his jokes were a little below the belt but thats just his style and he does an awesome job with it. the only two jokes of the night i didn't think were appropriate was the one about the president of the foreign press and the tom cruise one. the rest were pure gold.
