I'm not really moved by the names at the marquee , so yeah ,I'll wait :p

And with that 'max' system ...

I'm sure the first section will be full !

Satuday names just suck

only Elbow and Coldplay are good

I will try for the first section though :P

I definitely recommend seeing The Gaslight Anthem and Elbow if you have the chance. And of course The National.

Never really got into Elbow too much... so someone can make a mix of that

Also if someone could make a Beirut mix that'd be great since I'm seeing them in like 2 weeks

I imagine if I had a way into Nick Cave and his various works, that would be rewarding. Any suggestions?

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds:

You could start with the Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus double album or Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!, their latest. Murder Ballads is also good, and a great display of Cave's darkly comic lyrics, though it's quite heavy going if you're not used to it.

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis had a great soundtrack for the film version of The Road. Though I'd only listen to that if you've read the book/seen the film.

His work, once you "get it", is extremely rewarding and you'll keep going back to them!

Awesome :awesome: Be sure to post some pictures for us. You seeing him at a festival (Rock am Ring or Wechester?)

Eels was f*cking awesome ! :awesome:

The crowd was greaaaaaaat

the more he smiled , 'cuz of the clapping and shouting , the more

the crowd did it , it was like he's a suuuperstar :lol:

He even said: "ouch , I feel like a Beatle " :D

The GA was good too , not really my type , but It was "ok"

Elbow was greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat ! :awesome:

that singer is really cool , and the crowd was enthousiastic

My vid:

The National , I'm sorry to say , was a bit boring :confused:

It's just not really my thing , it's quite calm and slow

I'm a bit more for rock , but he jumped in the crowd

and the roadies had to hurry for the cable of his mic , that was quite funny :lol:

Foals and The Vaccines.

The Vaccines :awesome: :wacky:

They only have 1 album , so a playlist would just contain that ...

I recommend :

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQKjI6395iU]‪The Vaccines - If You Wanna‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dU9hrd35Dsg]‪The Vaccines - Post Break-Up Sex‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qkYWEHwtSo]‪The Vaccines - Blow It Up‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

And after that :

- All in White

- Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)

- Norgaard

Or just buy the album :nice:

You won't regret :awesome:

Hmm, I think rock doesn't get any more real than this: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2O8KiE2SlNQ]‪The National - Aula Magna Lx 16 Mr. November part 16/18‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

Once you get to know their songs a bit, I think it's one of the most rewarding bands to listen to. Even the calm and slow songs have a brooding intensity underneath them.

I love E :awesome: did you know many of the songs he played beforehand?

Yeah, TGA have some great songs, but they get a little tedious after a while, especially if you don't listen to that kind of music to start with.

That's the most important thing :wacky: I love Guy Garvey.

I agree with Mathieu about The National, you should listen to Mr. November :nod:

The Doors, one of the few universally loved bands. I just cannot get into them. Don't know why...

Wilco. Like the new album, have never really been that in to their other stuff. I reckon now I've had an 'in' with the new one, I could grow to appreciate some of the rest. Anyone fancy making a playlist?

Radiohead and Muse. I like some of their songs but not all.

The Vaccines.

They're so samey tho. There's nothing interesting there at all.

It's one of those band that you like or not ...

they only released one album , which is only 37minutes long...

their songs are quite short ...

They are short but very powerfull and they get you going and make you happy and active :p

(In my case ;) )

You probably know this one :

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQKjI6395iU]The Vaccines - If You Wanna - YouTube[/ame]

This is their shortest song , if you don't dig it , The Vaccines won't be your thing..

Here you can hear very good , what a damn good voice the singer (Justin Young) has

You don't need a playlist. Just listen to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot until its genius hits you.

And it will.

Noted.

Thank you.

Keane, I don't like them although I think some of their songs are really great, but I just don't like them. Also Foo Fighters, don't like em. And Kings Of Leon, I mean they have some good songs but I just can't grow to really ''like'' them.
