Robyn

Featured Replies

I loved Robyn lol. Her attitude of not giving a f*ck about what people like the OP thinks is why. But I also like rap and trance and dubstep as well as Coldplay if that's allowed of course ;)

1. She dresses like a guy

2. She can't dance to save her life

3. She has a song called "Don't Fucking Tell Me What To Do"

4. She acts like a rebel teenager on stage

5. Her shoes are six feet too high

6. Her setup is two drummers and two keyboardists

7. She made out with herself on stage

8. She covered the band she was supporting

9. She has a song called "Fembot"

10. All her songs sound the same

Seems a contradiction

I like Robyn. She sings in The Girl and The Robot from Röyksopp and when I went to see Röyksopp live I thought it was amazing that she suddenly popped up on stage to sing the song. Oh, and I thought her perfomance was good. I loved it.

It does not bother me much, its just the fact that, he took the time to make up a list, of someone he apparently hated so much. Who cares what the opening act is, my goal is to see coldplay.

If coldplay wants to use a rock, pop, jazz, country, trance, disco, artist for their opening act, i jump and scream, I'm there to have a blast. I know my section did. There were some older people around us who didnt know who she was, ofcourse not their type of music but they graceful clapped and had fun regardless of whether they knew who she was.

The only ignorance i see is in you and your pathetic list of reasons lol.

Go RObyn Go JayZ WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's fucking COldplay!

You know youve taken a lot more time out of your day to post how pathetic I am then I did to make the list. If you don't see ignorance in don't fucking tell me what to do and I got 99 problems but the bitch ain't one then ignornance doesn't exist. I think you shoul care a littlle bit more about music then to clap for whatevers put in front of you.You know you all care about this way more then I do. I made a list thinking some people felt the same way bit clearly that's not the case. But whatever Idc anymore

Who comes on first Wolfgang or her? Cause I wanna see Wolfgang, but as Robyn is not my kind of music if she's first I won't be pressured to get to the venue super early.

No offense to her though. I've only heard like 2 of her songs on youtube and it's not my thing.

Oh, thanks. Well I guess I'll just watch Robyn then. Maybe I'll enjoy it, you never know

Terribly ignorant post.

Terribly ignorant post.

I don't like her that much, but that post was absurdly ignorant.

Coldplay should be opening for Robyn, not the other way around.

:inquisitive:

Obviously an exaggeration on my part, since Coldplay fills stadiums, but Robyn's huge. She shouldn't have to open for a band who's not even of the same genre. Hell, she headlined some of the same venues in the U.S. last year that Coldplay is currently playing.

Also, I'm shocked to see how many people here had never heard of her before. She's only been releasing wildly popular albums since...before Coldplay even existed as a band.

True she has been around since the mid 90s on the disney record label, but if you ask 100 people in the street to name as many Robyn songs they can in 100 seconds you will probably get "with every heartbeat" and "standing on my own again".

Is she really on the Disney record label

IIRC she did some stuff for Disney in the 90s, although it might have been another similar artist.

Guns & Roses are still going. Doesn't mean they're any good.

Without causing a mass argument, Robyn's really not my thing. I have an interest in electronic music, sure, and I can see why some people might go for it, but I saw her support Coldplay too, and she was terrible. Lacklustre musically, the set was topped off with the Every Teardrop cover which went down with the crowd like a shit sandwich. There was often silence after some of the... antics. Rita Ora went down better.

(Hopefully I've towed the line well between ignorance and not enjoying it... I respect what she does, it's just not for me, and it was a terrible booking.)
