Featured Replies

was it prescribed to you or you just OTC-ed it?

I was prescribed them. Though I could have have bought them over the counter.

But because they were prescribed I got them free :charming:

there's no such thing as "free" here in the Philippines. *BOOOO*

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm on different tablets, YEAHHH! two new ones to be more exact.

I'm also going for a scope test down my oesophagus and a chest X-ray as soon as I can get an appointment (it's on public so that may be a while).

How lovely? :|

FUCKING HICCUPS.

...which are just a symptom and I could have something actually wrong with my insides.

Hold your breath and sip some water.

Haha,

the doctor said I may have either an odd shaped diaphragm or an odd shaped oesophagus (the opening into the stomach may be wider than normal)

So if that's the case, water sadly won't help.

I thought about that after I left the doctors. I really don't know, haha. I guess I just have to deal with it

The tablets will suppress them and stop other problems I have.

I am sissy as fuck if I can't live with a few hiccups, surely.

you'll get better. l'm sure about it. l have a crystal ball with me.

fer sure Emma, fer sure.

Hopefully it's not just weird shapey organs or you'll have to persevere with them D:

Yeah, also i doubt I can or would (if possible) get surgery if it is that.

The thing I don't get it is why didn't these oddly shaped organs bother me before now (well before these past 6 months).

Surely it didn't take my organs almost 19 years to fully form to properly fuck up, haha.

O__O

You seriously have to just... deal with it? idk but it doesn't sound like the right answer .__.

Maybe you should consult another doctor? :uhoh:

Yeah, it's kind of painful too. The doctor asked me that too yesterday, she said that because it has been so persistant (and resulting in the hiccups) I have to go get it checked out.

Fun times...no seriously, I've rarely been to the doctor or hospital so I am excited, haha.

  • 1 month later...

I got an appointment for a chest X-ray this thursday HUZZAH.

Yes, I still have them everyday. And it's gone past annoying.

My mum told that taking a plastic and breathing in your own carbon dioxide helps with hiccups. :uhoh:

Gosh, I wish the doctors would find a cure for you!

  • 6 months later...

So basically it's the way I am born and I will could have the hiccups for the rest of my life. Is it odd that I feeling like crying?

Wait you are going to have hiccups FOREVER?

I'm sorry

I may be able to reduce the amount of them by changing my diet, but basically yeah.

It's because of really bad acid reflux D; I could have an operation, but that only works about 85% of the time. And the other time it makes it worse.
